Former Lucha Underground wrestlers reacted with surprise and excitement after the promotion’s dormant social media account posted a cryptic teaser video on Friday. The account, which had been inactive since 2019, shared a short video featuring a lucha mask followed by the word “¿Más?” with the caption “soon.”

Taya Valkyrie expressed shock at the announcement, writing “I’m sorry WHAT???!!!” on social media. Vinnie Massaro posted “Excuse me?” in response to the tease.

Wrestlers from other promotions also chimed in. AEW’s The Butcher wrote “Yo i want in!!!!” while TNA’s AJ Francis pitched a character concept.

Character Pitch and Industry Interest

Francis detailed his idea for a masked character called “El Dinero” with money-themed attire based on Robert De Niro movie costumes.

“Okay hear me out. I have always wanted to wrestle under a mask as ‘El Dinero’ … & the mask is obviously money themed but the attire is different outfits Robert Dinero wore in different movies… starting with Taxi Driver. Yes, I have spent too much time thinking about this,” Francis wrote.
