A film produced by Marissa McMahon, wife of former WWE executive Shane McMahon, has earned two nominations at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
Train Dreams received nominations for Best Original Song – Motion Picture for the title track by Nick Cave and Bryce Dessner, and Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for star Joel Edgerton.
The Netflix film, released last month, is based on Denis Johnson's novella and follows the life of a logger working to develop US railroads while struggling to find his place in a changing world. The movie also stars Felicity Jones, William H. Macy, and Kerry Condon, with direction from Clint Bentley.

Shane McMahon congratulated his wife following the film's Netflix release, praising her for "producing such a beautiful film."
In a notable wrestling connection, Edgerton will compete in the Best Actor – Drama category against Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who earned a nomination for his role in The Smashing Machine.
The 83rd Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 11, 2026, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California, with Nikki Glaser returning as host. The ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
Shane McMahon recently attended John Cena's final appearance on WWE Raw at Madison Square Graden, but was not shown on camera.
