NJPW Star Almost Took Off Will Ospreay’s Head with a Sword

Will Ospreay was inches away from taking a major strike at the NJPW King of Pro Wrestling event.

The Aerial Assassin teamed up with his United Empire cohorts, HENARE and Great-O-Khan, to defend their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team titles against Jeff Cobb, Yuto-Ice, and OSKAR. Callum Newman was watching the match from afar.

After Ospreay and his team lost the titles, Newman and other United Empire members ambushed the new champions. Then Newman brought out a sword, had OSKAR down on the mat, and it looked like he was about to use it.

Just then, Will Ospreay ran into the ring and, in a major reflex action, Newman swung the sword. However, Ospreay ducked just in time, missing the impact by an inch. The duo then engaged in a heated argument. You can check out the clip below:

It was a shocking moment, as Ospreay could have been seriously hurt. Afterward, the reigning AEW World Champion challenged the Knockout Brothers to a match for the IWGP Tag Team Championship at NJPW Power Struggle.

Yuto Ice agreed, but on the condition that he would choose Ospreay’s partner. Following that, Ice chose Callum Newman, setting the stage for this epic showdown.
