Peacock Price Increase Means Higher Costs For WWE Fans

ByMike ReichlinProfessional Wrestling Journalist

Peacock raised prices on every subscription plan on August 18, and the increase lands squarely on the tier WWE fans need to keep watching live.

The Select plan climbs from $7.99 to $8.99 per month, or $89.99 annually. Peacock Premium, the tier required for live sports and events, jumps from $10.99 to $12.99 per month and $109.99 to $129.99 per year. Premium Plus, the ad-free option, rises from $16.99 to $19.99 monthly and $169.99 to $199.99 annually.

New and returning subscribers pay the higher rates immediately. Current subscribers keep their existing price until their next billing date on or after September 17. Anyone on a promotional offer stays locked in until that promotion expires.

Peacock said the changes let the service “remain competitive in the marketplace” while continuing to invest in its programming slate. The increase marks the streamer’s fourth price hike in four years, following a similar bump in July 2025.

The timing stands out. NBCUniversal reported Peacock’s first profitable quarter last month, with the service growing to 48 million subscribers on the strength of NBA playoff coverage, the FIFA World Cup, and reality hits like Love Island.

What It Means For WWE Fans

WWE’s footprint on Peacock is smaller than it used to be. The company’s Premium Live Events, including WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble, moved to ESPN under a $1.6 billion streaming deal that took effect in 2026, and Raw airs exclusively on Netflix.

What’s left is still gated behind the price hike. Saturday Night’s Main Event streams live exclusively on Peacock four times a year under a multi-year partnership WWE struck with the platform, and the SmackDown library sits on Peacock on a 30-day delay after live episodes air on USA Network.

Live sports and events, Saturday Night’s Main Event included, only run on the Premium tier and above. The cheaper Select plan doesn’t carry them. For fans who want to keep watching those specials live, the relevant number is the Premium jump from $10.99 to $12.99 a month.
