WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce appears to have teased the return of Chris Jericho in his official preview video for Monday's show.
In a video posted to WWE's social media accounts on Sunday, Pearce hyped the January 5 episode of Raw emanating from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. While running down the stacked card for the Netflix one-year anniversary show, the GM dropped a not-so-subtle reference that immediately caught fans' attention.
"There are also three massive championship matches on the card. Who will break down the walls and walk out with gold?" Pearce said.

The phrase is unmistakably tied to Chris Jericho, whose iconic WWE entrance theme "Break the Walls Down" has been synonymous with the nine-time world champion since his legendary 1999 debut.
The timing of Pearce's comment is significant. Jericho's AEW contract officially expired at midnight on December 31, 2025, making him a free agent. The 55-year-old hasn't appeared on AEW programming since April and hasn't wrestled for WWE since the Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018.
Multiple reports have indicated WWE is interested in bringing Jericho back for a retirement run, with some sources suggesting he could appear as soon as Monday's show. When asked about a potential return during a December 27 livestream, Jericho offered a cryptic response: "You never know. You never know."
Monday's January 5, 2026 edition of WWE Raw also features CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker, The Kabuki Warriors defending the Women's Tag Team titles against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, Maxxine Dupri defending the Women's Intercontinental Championship against Becky Lynch, and Liv Morgan returning to singles action against Lyra Valkyria.
