WWE has settled on what Bronson Reed’s return looks like.
WrestleVotes reports on Fightful Select that creative has determined a direction for the comeback, and that Reed’s return is considered very close. The outlet does not have an exact date, but the expectation from the people it spoke to is that it happens very soon.
The plan has been building for weeks. WrestleVotes previously reported that Reed’s name had been gaining traction internally, with the expectation that he would come back as a top-level heel. Those plans have progressed since.
His trip to Stamford was part of the work. Reed visited WWE headquarters, where he filmed promotional material and went through merchandise concepts and revisions. The outlet was told the visit was a strong indication the company intends to feature him prominently, and that the attention paid to him there was read internally as a good sign.
Reed has been out since the February 23 Raw, where he tore his distal biceps in a triple threat with Jey Uso and El Grande Americano. He had surgery days later. The match was an Elimination Chamber qualifier that Reed was reportedly booked to win before the injury forced a change.
PWInsider reported this week that Reed has fully recovered and is 100 percent expected back full-time on the Raw roster this month.
