Roman Reigns knows WWE’s next face of the company can’t be him or Cody Rhodes.
Reigns appeared on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay and was asked who could take over that role after him. He said WWE needs a younger star to step up.
Yeah, there has to be. I mean, even within my career, we transitioned out of me briefly with Cody because you need as much talent as possible.
We want to have many tent poles holding us to scale it out to make it as big as possible. So, a lot of people could be asked to take on that responsibility or help out.
Reigns and Rhodes were born about a month apart in 1985. Reigns said that is part of the issue.
But yeah, I mean, me and Cody are similar age. I mean, I think I’m just barely older than him. So yeah, we definitely need a younger guy to step into that role.
He believes the next star is already on the roster but still needs time.
I think we have a lot of young talent, a lot of fresh faces, and at the end of the day, they just got to go through their 10,000 hours. They got to put that time in.
Reigns is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. He retained the title against LA Knight in the opening match of Money in the Bank on Saturday.
