Seth Rollins has confirmed he will be in attendance for John Cena\'s retirement match at Saturday Night\'s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, D.C.
The former World Heavyweight Champion revealed his plans during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show while discussing his travel itinerary for upcoming NFL games.
\"We\'re going to stop through Chicago for the Cleveland game, just because we have a nice little route back from D.C. after John Cena\'s last match,\" Rollins said, casually confirming his attendance at one of the most anticipated events in recent WWE history.
Recovery from Surgery \"On Track\"
Rollins has been sidelined since WWE Crown Jewel: Perth in October, where he suffered a shoulder injury during his Crown Jewel Championship victory over Cody Rhodes. The injury, believed to be rotator cuff-related, occurred when Rollins performed a coast-to-coast diving headbutt during the match. He subsequently underwent surgery and was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Championship.
On the same Rich Eisen Show appearance, Rollins provided a positive update on his recovery, revealing he recently had his brace removed.
\"We\'re on track. I got the brace off like last week, middle of last week. It\'s nice to walk around like a regular person,\" Rollins said.
Rollins was written off WWE television following a brutal attack by his own faction, The Vision, on the October 13 episode of Raw. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turned on their leader, with Paul Heyman orchestrating the betrayal. CM Punk went on to capture the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night\'s Main Event on November 1.
