Sexyy Red has revealed why she has not gotten physical during her WWE appearances, and it comes down to a training requirement the company has held firm on.
The rapper spoke with Taylor Symone' Harris TV prior to NXT Stand and Deliver and addressed the question of whether fans would see her involved in any in-ring action during her latest appearance. Her answer shed light on where things stand between her and WWE on the subject.
"Nah. I might. They ain't let me do no moves last time because they talk about I gotta train, but they might let me do something this time because I've been messing with them for so long," Sexyy Red said.
The comments confirm that WWE has required formal in-ring training before allowing her to participate physically in any capacity.
Sexyy Red has built up a consistent presence in WWE over recent months, appearing on multiple NXT shows and showing up in the crowd at SmackDown in St. Louis earlier this month.
Whether WWE will loosen that requirement or whether Sexyy Red will eventually complete the training needed to get cleared for in-ring work remains to be seen. For now, her role has remained non-physical, even as she continues to be a visible presence at events.
