A body now confirmed to be Shad Gaspard has been discovered on Venice Beach. His body was discovered near where he went missing on Sunday after getting caught in a riptide. Gaspard was 39-years-old.
Reports that the body of an unidentified male had been found in the area were made earlier this morning. The body was later confirmed to be Shad Gaspard.

\”The individual that was seen here on the beach this morning was an African-American male approximately 6ft 6, over 240lbs. So it matched the description of the missing swimmer that had gone missing during the rescue efforts that we conducted here on Sunday afternoon,\” the official in the above video says.

In the wake of this tragedy, many wrestlers and those from the wrestling business have been speaking about what a quality human being Shad was. Shad is being remembered as brave and selfless and as a good friend and father.
