WWE SmackDown airs tonight (Friday, June 5, 2026) from the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy, live on USA Network starting at 8 PM ET.
WWE returns to the blue brand for its first SmackDown since Clash in Italy, with the fallout from Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu’s Tribal Combat hanging over the show and Solo Sikoa’s MFTs lurking. The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments also roll on with SmackDown-side first-round action expected. Here’s everything you need to know including start times, how to watch, and the full card.
The show marks the second straight week SmackDown emanates from overseas as part of WWE’s European tour. The US linear presentation airs in its usual Friday night slot on USA Network, with international viewers seeing the show on Netflix.
WWE SmackDown Match Card for June 5, 2026
WWE had not formally confirmed the full card as of Friday morning, but the SmackDown brand’s tournament brackets and Clash in Italy storylines point to the following:
Jey Uso vs. LA Knight vs. Royce Keys vs. Finn Balor (King of the Ring First-Round Fatal 4-Way)
The SmackDown side of the 25th King of the Ring tournament features a marquee opener. Former World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso carries the most title pedigree into the four-way, but LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Balor each have a clear motivation to advance toward a SummerSlam world title shot.
The winner moves into the semifinals, raising the stakes on what is technically a first-round match.
Jade Cargill vs. Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair (Queen of the Ring First-Round Fatal 4-Way)
The fourth Queen of the Ring tournament runs through SmackDown with a loaded Fatal 4-Way. Jade Cargill, the 2025 Queen of the Ring, looks to begin a repeat run, while Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca enters as a rising threat.
Lyra Valkyria and Charlotte Flair round out a field where any winner books a path toward a women’s world title opportunity at SummerSlam.
Solo Sikoa and the MFTs After Clash in Italy
Solo Sikoa heads into Bologna fresh off two setbacks. He failed to advance in the King of the Ring after Oba Femi pinned him in Monday’s Raw Fatal 4-Way, and he watched Roman Reigns turn back Jacob Fatu in Tribal Combat at Clash in Italy.
Sikoa and the MFTs made a surprise appearance following that main event, staring down both Reigns and Fatu. With Sikoa already needling Fatu since the loss, SmackDown is the natural stage for the next move in the Bloodline saga.
Clash in Italy Fallout
Tonight is SmackDown’s first episode since Clash in Italy, so expect the blue brand to address the rest of that card. Cody Rhodes retained the WWE Championship against Gunther and offered a rematch on the post-show, a thread that could surface in Bologna.
Road to WWE Night of Champions 2026
Night of Champions 2026 takes place Saturday, June 27 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event hosts the finals of both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, with each winner earning a world championship match at SummerSlam. Tonight’s first-round results begin narrowing the SmackDown field heading into that showcase.
