The 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony saw some controversy towards the end as The Rock had a verbal altercation with a fan in attendance.
The Brahma Bull was on hand to posthumously induct his grandmother Lia Maivia into the WWE Hall of Fame. In the closing moments of the show, however, The Rock could be seen having a tense face-off with a fan who was in the front row.
The fan told the Final Boss that \"Cody\'s coming for you,\" referencing Cody Rhodes\' efforts to \'finish the story\' at WWE WrestleMania 40. The Rock told the fan to \"watch your f***ing mouth.\"

Lia Maivia is the third person that The Rock has inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. In 2008, on the eve of WrestleMania 24, The Rock inducted his father Rocky Johnson, and his grandfather (and Lia\'s husband) \'High Chief\' Peter Maivia.

No matter the stipulation, this match will be Cody\'s final title shot at Reigns, an edict put in place by The Rock. The Final Boss flexed his muscles as part of TKO\'s Board of Directors to make this stipulation happen.
