Since 2022, Tony Khan has run and owned Ring of Honor, which airs weekly wrestling programming on HonorClub. One recent episode came into the spotlight on social media.
On X, a fan called attention to the July 31 edition of ROH on HonorClub, which had generated a 5.57 rating on Cagematch. The fan further claimed the episode and the present ROH product were a “disaster.”
“What are we doing with ROH bro,” they wrote. “This is just an example of the disaster that is going on these days. Id love to see ROH go back to its roots and run actual shows again.”
Taking notice of the criticism, Khan himself later fired back by accusing the fan of “handpick[ing]” a show that had broadcast months ago. Khan also pointed out that ROH Death Before Dishonor, which aired after the TV episode in reference, received high praise from viewers.
“‘These days’? It’s October,” Khan replied. “This tv was in July. Since then, there was an excellent ROH Death Before Dishonor ppv in August. It was widely praised. There was free ROH TV on YouTube last night with tremendous action. You handpicked a tv from months ago and called it ‘these days.’”
In recent months, ROH has taped its weekly programming from the WJCT studios in Jacksonville, Florida. Its pay-per-view locations continue to vary.
