Torrie Wilson had something to say when a past segment between herself and WWE legend Sable resurfaced on social media recently.
The WWE Hall of Famer was part of the Sable Invitational Bikini Contest on SmackDown in the early 2000s. The segment ended memorably with Torrie Wilson performing a sensual dance with Sable backed on the ropes, which drew a huge pop from the audience.
A fan posted a clip of the segment on social media, saying it would have been canceled in 2026, given the shift in perceptions of women in this era. Torrie Wilson noticed and took to her X to agree with the user.
For.sure.
Torrie Wilson and Sable had a memorable feud that began after Wilson was unveiled as the Playbody Cover Girl in 2003. It led to multiple encounters, bikini contests, and in-ring showdowns between the duo.
While the landscape and opportunities for women were different back then, that didn’t stop talents like Torrie Wilson and Sable from becoming legendary figures in the business and paving the way for future generations.
At the same time, Sable is still credited as a top legend in women’s wrestling, and Wilson went on to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2019. While Torrie has made multiple appearances post the end of her full-time tenure, the WWE Universe is yet to see Sable back on WWE television so far.
