Trey Miguel Wins TNA International Title at No Surrender

Trey Miguel defeated Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo to win the TNA International Championship at No Surrender on Friday night in Nashville, Tennessee. The victory brings the championship back to a TNA wrestler after Stacks captured it from Steve Maclin at Final Resolution in December 2025.

Singer-songwriter Teddy Swims accompanied Miguel to the ring for the bout at The Pinnacle, while Arianna Grace was in the champion's corner (until she wasn't). The match ran approximately 11 minutes.

How Trey Miguel Won the TNA International Championship

Grace attempted to interfere on Stacks' behalf multiple times during the match, including raking Miguel's eyes early on. After Grace took a cheap shot while the referee was distracted, the official ejected her from ringside.

With the playing field leveled, Miguel mounted his comeback. He hit a tornado DDT on the floor, followed by a dropkick to Stacks in the corner. Miguel then connected with a Shell Shock before finishing the champion with the Lightning Spiral for the pinfall victory.

Emotional Celebration Caps Miguel's Comeback

The post-match scene was highly emotional. Miguel broke down in tears as TNA President Carlos Silva placed the championship belt around his waist. Teddy Swims celebrated with the new champion as commentators highlighted the moment as an inspirational comeback story.

Miguel's path back to this moment has been anything but conventional. After spending over seven years with TNA as a two-time X-Division Champion, Miguel left the company alongside The Rascalz when all four members signed with AEW in January 2026. However, Miguel was released from his AEW contract before ever debuting, with the decision reportedly coming from Warner Bros. Discovery rather than AEW itself.

Miguel initially announced he was taking a break from wrestling following the release, but quickly re-signed with TNA. He earned his International Championship opportunity by winning the Feast or Fired briefcase on the January 29 episode of Impact.

What's Next for TNA International Champion Trey Miguel

Heading into No Surrender, Miguel framed the match as more than a title opportunity. In a recent interview on the Battleground Podcast, he said this was his chance to "take it back from NXT" after re-signing with the company.

With the TNA International Championship now back on a homegrown talent, Miguel's first reign begins as TNA continues to navigate its evolving relationship with WWE NXT. TNA tapes new episodes of Impact on Saturday at The Pinnacle in Nashville, where the fallout from No Surrender — and Miguel's title win — will begin to take shape.
