Trick Williams is ready to retire Booker T.
The 5-time WCW World Champion has not entered the ring since January, 2025 and he has not had a singles match since January, 2019. The 61-year-old does not consider himself to be a retired wrestler just yet, however, and he has previously expressed interest in a potential retirement match against the former NXT Champion.
During his recent appearance on the 2026 Fanatics Fest, Williams talked about the wrestling veteran and said that he sees Booker T as his uncle. The 32-year-old noted that the former WCW Champion has been a mentor to him since before he started being seen as the next big superstar in wrestling.
It’s Only Befitting: Trick Williams
Speaking about the potential of facing Booker T in his retirement match, Trick Williams said that he would be open to the bout, suggesting that it should happen sooner rather than later:
Word through the grapevine is Booker T wants one more match. Let’s talk about it. He said he wants one more match, and I think it’s only right.
It’s only befitting if his last match is with the man that he helped mold into the superstar that he is today. And I was thinking, what better time like the present? Maybe within the next year or so.
