WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus had a playful, fan-first response after security stopped a fan from meeting her and snapping a photo. The former Women’s Champion expressed genuine annoyance on X while poking fun at herself, joking about whether she even needs security in the first place.
The fan posted that they had tried to get a picture with Stratus, who was only steps away, before the idea was shut down by her security detail. Stratus replied directly, validating the fan’s frustration while acknowledging the staff were simply doing their job.
Noooo!? Ugh so annoying … next time you tell them ‘Trish sent me’ (I mean respectfully they are doing their job… but you know, do I need security ???),” Stratus wrote.
The exchange lands in the middle of a broader conversation in WWE about how much protection talent should have at live events.
WWE’s Security Debate After WrestleMania 42
Talent security has been a recurring topic recently, especially after scenes of fans swarming wrestlers at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. Those incidents pushed the issue to the forefront across the promotion.
There has also been speculation that guaranteed security could become part of WWE contract negotiations following what happened in Las Vegas. That would mark a notable shift in how the company handles talent safety at events.
Stratus, a seven-time Women’s Champion, remains one of the most recognizable names in WWE history. Her self-deprecating take captures the awkward middle ground performers face when fan access collides with security protocols.
