Two More Matches Are Being Discussed For WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event

Two more matches are being considered for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6.

False Finish reports that Blake Monroe against Giulia has been discussed for the show at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. It would be Monroe’s first match on the main roster.

She has been chasing that debut for a while. Monroe has been feuding with Giulia since attacking her on the June 26 SmackDown, and the two were booked against each other on August 21, but Monroe jumped Giulia during her entrance and the match never started.

TRNBCKL Gold reports that a six-woman tag is also under consideration, with Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley against Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab. Paxley joined Flair and Bliss on her move to the main roster earlier this month, helping Flair beat Cargill. That match could be announced on Friday’s SmackDown.

Three matches are already set. Cody Rhodes faces Randy Orton in Rhodes’s billed hometown, Bron Breakker meets Oba Femi after their contract signing on Monday’s Raw, and Baron Corbin takes on Lil Yachty in a five-minute challenge.

It is the first Sunday Night’s Main Event, moved from its usual Saturday slot, and it falls on Labor Day weekend. WWE has no premium live event scheduled for September, which is part of why the card is filling out.
