The August 13 WWE live event in Manchester, New Hampshire, saw the return of two huge names to the squared circle after a while.
They were Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss. She teamed up with her onscreen best friend, Charlotte Flair, and Tiffany Stratton to square off against Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid), which they won.
This was Alexa’s first match since the July 10 episode of SmackDown, where her foe, Jade Cargill, had injured her arm. The former five-time WWE Women’s Champion returned to SmackDown last week and introduced Tatum Paxley as her and Charlotte’s new ally. Check out the clip below posted by an X user:
On the other hand, Randy Orton battled his arch-nemesis, Cody Rhodes, in the Street Fight. This was the main event of the night and was Orton’s first match since losing to the American Nightmare in the main event of WrestleMania 42. You can watch the clip below posted by a user on X:
Orton had returned to the promotion at SummerSlam 2026, where he cost Rhodes a chance to reclaim the Undisputed WWE Championship from CM Punk.
With two huge in-ring returns at the recent WWE live event, things are surely looking to get interesting on the SmackDown side.
