There is now an explanation for the state of Monday’s Raw, and it points at Netflix.
A source told False Finish that Netflix made the call to censor the August 31 episode, citing content restrictions in several of the countries where Raw airs. The show was taped on Friday at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, which gave the platform time to make changes before it went out.
The opening segment took the worst of it. Royce Keys, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price jumped Jey and Jimmy Uso in the parking lot and left both men bleeding. Large pixelated blocks covered the blood, and the picture distorted when Jimmy went through the back window of the car. Solo Sikoa’s backstage attack later in the show got the same treatment.
The audio was a separate matter. Jacob Fatu’s microphone was cut during the taping itself, and the Netflix version then trimmed the moment and bleeped the profanity on top of that.
Triple H put out the version Netflix would not. WWE’s Chief Content Officer posted the uncensored parking lot attack to his own account the next day.
Raw carries a TV-PG rating on Netflix and WWE has never suggested it is moving off it. Nick Khan said when the show landed on the platform in January 2025 that the programming would stay family friendly, and Triple H has framed the rating as a matter of keeping the product watchable everywhere rather than pushing limits.
Keys has been circling The Bloodline since SummerSlam, where he teamed with LA Knight and Solo Sikoa to beat Fatu and The Usos in Minneapolis. Neither man helped him the following Monday. Keys then lost a Street Fight to Fatu on the August 3 Raw and was written off television after the post-match beating, before returning last week with OTM behind him.
