WrestleMania 42 Ticket Sales Slump Further

Ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 continued to slide this week despite WWE's recent efforts to course-correct, painting a troubling picture with less than two months to go before the event. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, sales are currently down approximately 19.3% compared to the same point last year. Making matters worse: momentum is moving in the wrong direction.

Despite WWE running a promotional sale last week in an attempt to jumpstart demand, ticket sales actually slowed week-over-week, signaling that discounts alone aren't enough to turn the tide.

Per Wrestletix, approximately 36,000 tickets have been distributed for each of the two nights of WrestleMania 42, which is set for April 18 and 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas — marking the second consecutive year WWE has run its flagship event at the venue.

The stadium is currently configured for roughly 45,000 seats per night, meaning WWE is sitting at well below capacity with weeks still to go.

Why aren't WrestleMania 42 tickets selling?

The shortfall is stark when compared to WrestleMania 41. At this same point last year, WWE had sold approximately 10,000 more tickets per night for the event at the same venue, which ultimately drew confirmed attendance figures of 58,538 and 60,103 on the respective nights.

WWE convened a multi-department meeting on February 11 to address the sluggish sales, with all departments tasked with rolling out new promotional strategies.

The company has thus far resisted lowering ticket prices, with the current get-in price sitting at approximately $264–$276 depending on the night, and floor seats running ten times that amount or more.

Critics have pointed to a combination of factors dragging on demand, including high prices, a return to the same city, and a card that has yet to take full shape.

The only officially confirmed match as of this writing is Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE is banking on late-breaking announcements and promotional activity in the coming weeks to fill the remaining seats before Allegiant Stadium opens its doors in April.?
