WWE announced a special Attitude Era Edition of WWE 2K26 during Friday Night SmackDown, celebrating one of the most iconic periods in company history.
The announcement came via a promotional trailer that aired on SmackDown, showcasing stars who defined WWE's boom years in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The cover art features legends including Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Kane, The Undertaker, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna, Stephanie McMahon, and the Dudley Boyz.

The Attitude Era Edition is designed as a nostalgia-driven collector's release aimed at longtime fans. Pre-orders for WWE 2K26 are scheduled to begin on January 30. The game is expected out in March.
Beyond the special edition announcement, CM Punk will serve as the focal point of this year's Showcase Mode, featuring key moments from his career and hypothetical dream matches. WWE 2K26 will also feature Attitude Era-inspired match types, including the return of the Inferno Match for the first time since WWE 2K14.
