Former WWE interviewer Kayla Braxton (now Kayla Becker) is standing firm on her decision not to have children, addressing the backlash head-on after facing criticism online.
Taking to X, Becker explained that not every woman shares the same dream of motherhood, and pushed back on the idea that her choice makes her selfish.
She opened up about addiction and trauma, saying that fear of passing those experiences on to a child has shaped her thinking. Her message was direct: not everyone is meant to have kids, and there shouldn’t be any shame in recognizing that about yourself.
I get hate for being open about not wanting kids. People call it “selfish,” which makes no sense to me. I come from addiction and trauma, and I’ve always feared passing any of that on. Not everyone should have kids – and there should be zero shame in knowing that about yourself.
Kevin Nash Responds
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash stepped in to back her up in the replies, making clear he doesn’t believe anyone but Becker herself should have a say in the decision.
He argued that bringing a child into the world carries real risk given how much dishonesty and dysfunction exists in society, and that since it’s her body and her responsibility, the choice is hers alone to make. According to Nash, the real shame lies with people who try to dictate someone else’s personal decisions in the first place.
Bringing a human into a world of sh** is an incredible risk. Corruption is a social norm. Lies as common from one’s mouth as breath. You’re body and responsibility makes it easily your choice. The shame is in those who try to dictate your decisions. It’s become common in a world of sheep.
Becker departed WWE in 2024 after working as a correspondent and interviewer under the name Kayla Braxton, most notably as a host for kickoff shows and WWE’s “The Bump.” She’s since said she felt she’d accomplished what she set out to do in that role before moving on.
