Eric Bischoff doesn’t think a major Vince McMahon comeback is coming anytime soon — and he laid out exactly why on his 83 Weeks podcast.
Addressing the ongoing speculation about McMahon’s future, Bischoff pushed back on the assumption that the former WWE chairman is looking to return to the spotlight. He said he isn’t convinced that’s actually the case, and that he’d be surprised to see a high-profile version of McMahon back in the public eye.
Everybody is kind of like assuming Vince wants to get back in the spotlight,” Bischoff said. “I’m not sold on that. I highly doubt that we’re going to see a high-profile Vince McMahon.
That doesn’t mean Bischoff expects McMahon to disappear entirely. He suggested it’s possible fans could see him make smaller, occasional appearances tied to WWE, something along the lines of a Hall of Fame moment, but he was clear that he doesn’t see McMahon returning as a regular on-screen presence, being written into storylines, or serving as any kind of face of the company going forward.

Bischoff was direct about why: in his view, the baggage surrounding McMahon simply outweighs whatever value a prominent return would bring, regardless of how ongoing legal matters ultimately settle.
When the conversation turned to the more corporate possibility of McMahon rejoining the TKO Group Holdings board, Bischoff called that scenario even less likely, arguing he doesn’t see what added value McMahon would realistically bring to the boardroom.
