WWE has edited a viral wardrobe malfunction out of the Netflix replay of SmackDown, swapping in a different camera angle so that anyone watching the archived version would never know it happened. The moment involving Jade Cargill is no longer visible in the streaming version of the episode.
The original broadcast captured a wig malfunction during Cargill’s match, a moment that quickly spread across social media. The replay now available on Netflix uses a different angle than the live broadcast, cutting the moment out entirely.
The change was spotted and shared by DirtyDomDom on X/Twitter, who posted a side-by-side comparison of the original footage and the edited Netflix version.
NETFLIX quietly removed Jade Cargill’s wig slip from the replay version of last Night’s Smackdown,” the post read. “Just like that, one of the most talked about moments from the match is gone. Anyone watching it back would never know it even happened.
The retroactive edit is part of a wider trend of content control on streaming platforms, where the archived version of a broadcast can quietly differ from what aired live. For fans who didn’t catch the original SmackDown, the Netflix cut is now the only version on offer.
Cargill has been a regular talking point on the blue brand in recent months. Earlier this year, she made clear she wanted a rematch following her WrestleMania title loss, and she has continued to feature prominently in storylines, including warning a WWE faction and rejecting Rhea Ripley’s catchphrase.
