WWE RAW aired live from the ThunderDome in the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Drew McIntyre teamed up with the Street Profits to battle Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode in the main event of tonight\’s episode.

Here are the takeaways from this week\’s show:
Drew McIntyre Attacked Orton
Randy Orton began this week\’s RAW with a backstage segment. Orton said he was supposed to leave Clash of Champions with the title but instead he left in an ambulance. Orton added that he remembers Big Show, Christian, and Shawn Michaels interfering in his match against Drew McIntyre.
Orton noted that McIntyre, Michaels, Flair, and Big Show stood in the ring 24 hours later and celebrated. He claimed that it made him sick to watch them playing poker and enjoying their victory lap. Orton said that with every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction and he felt obligated to provide that reaction last week when he snuck into the Legends Lounge.
Randy stated that he killed the lights, slid on his nightvision goggles, and treated himself to a front row seat to their agony last week. Orton claimed that he whispered \”say hi to Edge for me\” before attacking Christian. Orton said that this isn\’t over and Drew McIntyre still has to pay. Randy added that McIntyre will cement his legacy if he survives on more WWE Championship match against him at Hell in a Cell. Drew McIntyre entered the Legends Lounge and attacked Orton before WWE security broke it up.
Nia Jax Put Lana Through The Announce Table Again
Zelina Vega, Lana, and Natalya faced Mandy Rose, Dana Brooke, and Asuka in the first match of the night.
Match Recap: Natalya leveled Dana Brooke with a shoulder tackle to start it off. Dana battled back and slammed Natalya to the canvas for a near fall before tagging in Mandy Rose. Mandy and Dana teamed up and planted Natalya with a Suplex in the middle of the ring for another two count.
Natalya, Zelina, and Lana isolated Mandy in the corner and took turns beating her down. Eventually, RAW Women\’s Champion Asuka tagged in and booted Natalya int he face. Asuka followed that up with a knee to Lana\’s face and went for the cover but Natalya broke it up at two. Mandy tagged herself in and leveled Lana with a knee to the face for the pinfall victory.
After the match, Women\’s Tag Team Champions attacked Natalya and Lana outside the ring. Nia tried to put Natalya through the announce table but Lana pulled her off. Jax then put Lana through the announce table with a Samoan Drop for a third time.
Opinion: WWE is either burying Lana or making her out to be the toughest woman on the roster because she keeps coming back every week after Nia Jax attacks her.
Rollins & Murphy Aren\’t On The Same Page
Seth Rollins and Murphy faced Humberto Carrillo and Dominik Mysterio tonight on RAW. Before the match, Rollins told Murphy to give him the microphone but Murphy didn\’t oblige. Murphy stated that he has been Seth\’s ideal disciple for months now but needs Rollins to apologize to him if he wants him to be his disciple.
Murphy said that he wanted Seth to apoligize to Aalyah and Rollins ripped the microphone away. Seth shouted that he saved Murphy and went easy on Aalyah. Rollins added that he could have put it out there that Aalyah feels ignored in her family because Dominik is the chosen one.
Match Recap: Dominik and Humberto controlled the action early. Dominik hit Murphy with a Russian Leg Sweep and Humberto followed that up with a Dropkick. Carrillo hit Murphy with a Suicide Dive as Dominik connected with a Crossbody on Rollins as RAW went to a commercial break.
When RAW returned, Murphy and Rollins had Dominik trapped in the corner and took turns stomping him down. Rollins tagged himself in and shouted that he was in charge and will tell Murphy when he gets to tag in. Rollins and Murphy started arguing and Dominik capitalized by crawling to to the corner.
Humberto tagged in and leveled Murphy with a Dropkick. Murphy connected with a Dropkick and went for the cover but Dominik broke it up. Dominik sent Rollins into the barricade and then Murphy sent Dominik flying over the barricade. Rollins shouted that he doesn\’t Murphy and Humberto flipped onto them.
Back in the ring, Murphy hit Carrillo with a knee to the face for the pinfall victory. Murphy stormed backstage muttering \”you don\’t need my help\” and left Rollins ringside after the match. Rollins confronted Murphy backstage and told him he has an hour to apologize to him.
Bray Wyatt Threatened Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens had Bray Wyatt on the Kevin Owens Show tonight. Last Friday night on SmackDown, The Fiend attacked Kevin Owens as he was interviewing Alexa Bliss.
Owens said that people are right when they say you are changed when The Fiend touches you. Kevin said tonight\’s KO Show isn\’t about having a nice chat and threw the chairs out of the ring.
Kevin stated that he was paralyzed during the Mandible Claw and joked about all these dark and tortured souls having an issue with him. Owens called Bray Wyatt down to the ring and the Firefly Fun House theme played.
Bray waved on the screen and said \”hi Monday Night RAW!\”. Wyatt claimed that Kevin was his new friend and it always nice to have friends to help bury a body in the woods or play ball together. Bray and the puppets then sang a song about how special it is to have friends.
Owens said that they are not friends because he attacked him on SmackDown. Kevin challenged Bray to come down to the ring because he is not going to brainwash him like he did to Alexa Bliss. Wyatt said that whatever is going on with Alexa is between her and The Fiend. Bray added that Owens doesn\’t know what he has gotten himself into but will find out on Friday night. Owens said he is not waiting until SmackDown and made his way up the entrance ramp. Aleister Black came out of nowhere and hit Owens with the Black Mass as RAW went to a break.
Keith Lee vs. Strowman Ended In A Double Count-Out
Braun Strowman faced Keith Lee tonight on RAW. Strowman approached Adam Pearce backstage and demanded a fight since RAW Underground wasn\’t happening tonight. Pearce said Strowman is not a RAW superstar and it would have to be an Unsanctioned match. Keith Lee then showed up and accepted the fight.
Match Recap: Strowman and Keith Lee locked up but neither superstar backed down. Strowman shrugged off a shoulder tackle and hit Lee with a Dropkick that sent Keith out of the ring. Strowman chased Lee out of the ring and sent him into the steel steps and the match ended in a count-out. Strowman called the referee a moron and sent Keith Lee through the barricade with a shoulder tackle.
Keith Lee got up and the fight continued up the entrance ramp. Lee threw Strowman into the LED board as referees tried to break it up. Keith Lee then Clotheslined Strowman and both superstars fell off the stage.
Hurt Business Defeated Ricochet & Apollo
Apollo Crews and Ricochet faced Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin tonight. Before the match, MVP claimed that Apollo, Mustafa Ali, and Ricochet may have won a match together but they will never win the fight. MVP blamed the loss last week on RETRIBUTION and referred to T-Bar as T-Bag. Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, and Crews interrupted. Ali and MVP were ringside for the tag team match.
Match Recap: Lashley and Benjamin trapped Ricochet in the ring and beat him down as RAW went to a break. When RAW returned, Ricochet was still trapped in the ring and Lashley planted him with a Suplex. Apollo finally tagged in and hit Shelton with a Crossbody. Lashley tagged in and applied the Hurt Lock on Crews for the submission victory.
Opinion: These matches just represent laziness to me. It is the same damn thing over and over again. This rivalry has been dead for months and I don\’t know how anyone could have been invested in this match tonight.
Rollins Continued His Mind Games With Murphy & The Mysterio Family
Murphy apologized to Aalyah backstage and said that this thing with Seth has gotten way out of hand. Aalyah asked if Murphy was actually considering apologizing to him and Murphy said that he doesn\’t know.
Rollins made his way to the ring towards the end of the second hour of RAW. Seth said that the time has come for Murphy and the Messiah awaits his apology. Murphy stood in the ring but didn\’t say anything to Seth.
Seth told Murphy that he plucked him from obscurity and made him the man he is today. Rollins demanded that Murphy apologize but he still stood in silence. Rollins grabbed Murphy by his beard and shouted at Murphy to apologize. Murphy tackled Rollins and booted him out of the ring. Rollins and Murphy traded shots against the barricade.
Murphy bounced the Monday Night Messiah\’s face off the ring apron and picked up a kendo stick. Murphy unloaded on Rollins a couple of times as Seth retreated to the ring. Rollins pleaded for Murphy to stop but he kept hitting Seth. Murphy demanded that Seth apologize to Aalyah and hit Seth again. Rollins shouted \”I\’m sorry Aalyah!\” and that he didn\’t mean to bring her into this. Seth told Murphy that he has done enough and asked him to please stop hitting him with the kendo stick.
Murphy dropped the kendo stick and Rollins poked Murphy in the eye. Seth started unloading on Murphy with the kendo stick and then grabbed a steel chair from the timekeeper\’s area. Aalyah got into the ring and told Rollins to stop. The Mysterio family joined Aalyah in the ring and had a conversation with her as Rollins left the ring. Rollins was then shown laughing as the Mysterio family scolded Aalyah for talking to Murphy.
Baszler & Jax Retained In Dominant Fashion
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler defended the Women\’s Tag Team Championships against the Riott Squad tonight on RAW.
Match Recap: Ruby Riott took Nia to the canvas and tagged in Liv Morgan. Liv unloaded a couple punches as Jax battled to her feet. Nia slammed Liv to the mat and hung up Ruby Riott in the Tree of Woe. Jax hit her with a Splash and Ruby fell out of the ring.
Shayna asked for the tag and Nia reluctantly tagged her in. Shayna stomped on Ruby\’s arm and then locked in a Hammer Lock on the injured arm. Jax tagged in and slammed Ruby against the ring apron as RAW went to a commercial break.
When RAW returned, Nia Jax and Liv Morgan were battling in the corner. Liv hit Shayna and Nia with a couple of Splashes but Jax eventually caught her with a massive Clothesline. Jax hit Morgan with a headbutt and tagged in Shayna. Baszler charged at Morgan but Liv got out of the way and Shayna hit the turnbuckle.
Liv Morgan hit Shayna with a Double Stomp and went for the cover but Shayna kicked out. Ruby tagged in and Shayna greeted her with a knee to the face. Baszler locked in the Kirifuda Clutch for the submission victory. Nia Jax held up Liv in the corner and forced her to watch Ruby submit. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the Women\’s Tag Team Champions.
Mustafa Ali Is The Leader Of RETRIBUTION
MVP faced Mustafa Ali tonight on RAW. Bobby Lashley and Apollo Crews ringside for the match.
Match Recap: MVP beat Ali down in the corner of the ring to start off the match. MVP leveled Ali with a Clothesline and started taunting him. Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley then hopped in the ring and the lights in the arena went out. RETRIBUTION surrounded the ring as MVP asked Ali to join them in the fight. Mustafa Ali got right in Mace and T-Bar\’s face and then smiled. Mustafa Ali told T-Bar and Mace to get the Hurt Business and they followed his orders. Mustafa Ali then stood in front of the members of RETRIBUTION and posed as RAW went to a break.
Opinion: Mustafa Ali has been wasted on the main roster and this gives him a purpose. I figured he was the hacker but that storyline just disappeared. RETRIBUTION\’s members have goofy names and the faction has been a total failure up until this point.
Mustafa Ali as the leader makes them much more interesting in my opinion. He has every reason to complain as he has been completely misused on the main roster. I said last week that I wouldn\’t be surprised if Ali was squashed this week and back on Main Event because they never seem to have a plan for him. Well, I\’m happy to be wrong and hopefully Mustafa does well in this role.
Randy Orton Pinned The WWE Champion
Drew McIntyre and Street Profits teamed up to face Randy Orton, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode in the main event.
Match Recap: WWE Champion Drew McIntyre beat the hell out of Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler as Orton retreated out of the ring. Street Profits flipped onto Roode and Ziggler as RAW went to a commercial break.
When RAW returned, Montez Ford hit Ziggler with a Moonsault for a near fall as Orton was still just hanging out by the announce table. Roode tagged in and planted Montez with a Spinebuster as Orton finally hopped to the apron.
Orton tagged in and dumped Ford out of the ring. Randy slammed Montez on the announce table as McIntyre stared him down. Back in the ring, Orton knocked Dawkins off the ring apron and started trash talking with McIntyre. Ford connected with a DDT and tagged in McIntyre.
Ziggler tagged in as well and walked into a Clothesline from the WWE Champion. McIntyre launched Ziggler across the ring and then bounced Orton\’s face off the turnbuckle. Ziggler and Roode attacked McIntyre and beat him down against the turnbuckle. Angelo Dawkins tagged himself in and rolled up Dolph for a two count. Orton tagged in and planted Angelo with the Draping DDT.
Dawkins hit Orton with the Annointment and tagged in Ford. Montez hit Orton with a Frog Splash and went for the cover but Roode broke it up. McIntyre tagged in as Dolph hit Ford with a Fameasser. McIntyre sent Dolph out of the ring with a Claymore and set up in the corner as Orton made his way to his feet. McIntyre hit Roode with a Claymore but turned around into an RKO for the pinfall victory.
Opinion: Overall, this was a decent episode of RAW. There are some storylines that I just want to end so I\’m looking forward to the WWE Draft this Friday and next Monday. Mustafa Ali being revealed as the leader of RETRIBUTION was definitely the highlight of this week\’s show.
