WWE SmackDown kicks off the European Tour tonight from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, with a stacked card headlined by a brutal championship match.
The show airs at 8 PM ET on USA Network for U.S. viewers (on tape delay), while international fans can watch live on Netflix at 2 PM ET. Here's everything you need to know about tonight's SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre – Three Stages of Hell Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship
The bitter rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre reaches its climax tonight in only the sixth Three Stages of Hell match in WWE history. The Scottish Warrior chose this brutal stipulation after manipulating his way into one more title opportunity.
The three stages are: a traditional singles match, a Falls Count Anywhere match, and a Steel Cage match. The first competitor to win two falls walks out as WWE Champion. McIntyre has been relentless in his mind games, even burning a photo of Cody and his late father Dusty Rhodes last week after GM Nick Aldis barred The American Nightmare from touching McIntyre before tonight.
Rhodes enters with pent-up aggression after being unable to retaliate against McIntyre's despicable tactics. Will that fury fuel him to victory, or will his emotions cost him the title? McIntyre has fallen short in three previous championship opportunities against Rhodes, dating back to Wrestlepalooza in September. Tonight could finally be his night.
The Wyatt Sicks vs. The MFTs – 8-Man Tag Team Match
The war between The Wyatt Sicks and Solo Sikoa's MFTs continues with massive tag team championship implications on the line. Uncle Howdy's faction, the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, face off against Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga, and JC Mateo in what promises to be a chaotic collision.
Solo Sikoa has vowed to take everything from Uncle Howdy, starting with the tag team gold. While the titles aren't officially on the line tonight, a victory here would give the MFTs significant momentum heading into a potential championship match. The two factions have been at each other's throats for months, with their December clash ending in a no-contest that only intensified the rivalry.
Trick Williams vs. Rey Fenix
Two-time NXT Champion Trick Williams makes his SmackDown in-ring debut tonight against the high-flying Rey Fenix. Williams officially signed with the blue brand after appearing on SmackDown last week, where he boldly interrupted Sami Zayn and declared his intention to become Undisputed WWE Champion.
Williams arrives on the main roster with one of the most decorated NXT resumes in recent memory, including two NXT Championship reigns, a TNA World Title run, and a North American Championship reign. While Fenix's athleticism makes him a dangerous opponent, this match appears positioned as a showcase for SmackDown's newest acquisition.
What Else to Expect
Randy Orton is expected to appear following his shocking return last week when The Viper destroyed The Miz with two thunderous RKOs. Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Damian Priest, and Sami Zayn are all advertised for the show. WWE Women's Champion Jade Cargill could also address her recent confrontation with Jordynne Grace.
With the Royal Rumble just three weeks away on January 31 in Saudi Arabia, tonight's SmackDown from Berlin could set the stage for several Road to WrestleMania storylines.
WWE SmackDown airs tonight at 8 PM ET on USA Network.
