Chad Mendes Speaks On What Kenny Florian Could Expect In A Match-Up

As previously reported, Kenny Florian plans to drop to 145 pound weight class to enter the octagon with surging Diego Nunes at UFC 131. However upon a potential win, there is another man who seems to want in on the action against the former lightweight challenger.

Team Alpha Male tough guy Chad Mendes spoke recently on his thoughts about Florian and what a potential match-up may be like if and when they step into the ring together.

“I think I would kill Kenny Florian,” stated a confident Mendes. “Honestly, I think I am too strong, my wrestling is too good and my stand-up is improving. I’m too quick for him and I think I’m overall too athletic for him to handle. I honestly don’t think he’s going to make it past Nunes.”

Pretty tough words coming from a fighter such as Mendes. With a professional record of 10-0, Mendes has yet to defeat the level of opposition that the Massachusetts native has, but should Florian dismantle Nunes in his featherweight debut, as many insiders are predicting, we could see Mendes forced to back his words up inside the octagon.
