All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was founded on January 1, 2019, by Tony Khan and his father Shahid Khan, following the success of the independent wrestling event "All In" in 2018. The promotion's inaugural event, "Double or Nothing," took place on May 25, 2019. AEW has grown to become the second-largest professional wrestling company in the United States, featuring weekly television programs including Dynamite on TBS and Collision on TNT. In 2022, AEW acquired Ring of Honor (ROH).
