NXT is WWE's developmental brand, originally launched in 2010 as a competition show and rebranded in 2012 as WWE's third brand focusing on developing future WWE Superstars.

WWE NXT debuted on February 23, 2010, replacing WWE's ECW brand. Initially a reality-based television show, NXT was revamped in June 2012 as WWE's developmental territory after Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) ceased operations. The WWE Performance Center opened in Orlando, Florida on July 11, 2013. Over time, NXT evolved into WWE's third major brand, moving to USA Network in September 2019. In September 2021, NXT underwent a rebranding to "NXT 2.0," returning to its developmental focus.
