The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was founded on November 12, 1993, by Art Davie, Bob Meyrowitz, Campbell McLaren, David Isaacs, John Milius, and Rorion Gracie. In January 2001, UFC was purchased by Zuffa, LLC, established by Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, with Dana White appointed as president. Under White's leadership, UFC grew into a global multi-billion-dollar enterprise. In 2016, Zuffa was sold to Endeavor for $4.025 billion. In September 2023, UFC merged with WWE to form TKO Group Holdings. The UFC Apex, a 130,000-square-foot production facility in Las Vegas, opened on June 18, 2019.
