Mick Foley introduced the WWE 24/7 Championship on Raw a couple of weeks ago and since then people have heavily criticized the belt for its design.
During a recent episode of his E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness podcast, former WWE Champion Edge talked about the belt and declared it the ugliest title ever created.
Edge was discussing the positive and negatives of the new Championship and giving word to the feelings of a lot of fans, he said that it’s the “ugliest championship ever created,”
Though continuing on the topic, he said that it’s great. Edge explained that he always thought the Hardcore title was fun and he thinks that right now, that’s exactly what the WWE Programming needs.
Later in the interview, he mentioned how you can take a guy like Bobby Roode who is super talented and you can show that he is also an entertaining guy.
Edge’s partner Christian also commented on the matter and said that it’s one of those things which you won’t mind once you have gotten used to it.
He went on to wonder why the company didn’t just reintroduce the Hardcore Championship and the Rated R Superstar implied that they are past the time of labeling things as hardcore. You can check out the full episode of their podcast at this link.
