Goldberg & Brock Lesnar Returning At WWE Saudi Arabia (6/7)

WWE is heading back to Saudi Arabia on June 7th.

WWE will head back to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on June 7th. When they do former Universal Champions Goldberg and Brock Lesnar are both expected to appear. The return to Saudi Arabia was officially announced earlier today.

“The event will feature WWE Superstars Roman Reigns, Undertaker, Kofi Kingston, Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins, Goldberg, AJ Styles, and Brock Lesnar, and stream live on WWE Network,” a WWE press release for the event reads.

The event will take place inside the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be produced in conjunction with the  Saudi General Sports Authority.

Goldberg and Brock Lesnar

The last time Bill Goldberg wrestled in a WWE ring was WrestleMania 33. He was defeated by Brock Lesnar for the Universal Champion that night. Goldberg had defeated Kevin Owens for the belt the previous month at Fastlane. He’s only had 4 official matches since 2004. Goldberg defeated Lesnar at Survivor Series 2016, participated in the 2017 Royal Rumble, then defeated Owens and then lost to Lesnar.

As for Brock Lesnar, WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia will be the first advertised appearance for him since dropping the Universal title to Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania 35.
