Kofi Kingston Has Sights Set On Facing Brock Lesnar
Despite being on separate brands, WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has made it known that he’s ready to take on former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
The Money in the Bank pay-per-view event was a newsworthy show as Kingston successfully retained the WWE Title over Kevin Owens earlier in the night. Moving along to the main event, Lesnar won this year’s Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match after taking Sami Zayn’s spot in the match where he beat Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Baron Corbin, Randy Orton, Andrade, Finn Balor, and Mustafa Ali.
Lesnar can cash-in his MITB contract anytime within the next year for a championship match. That could be on RAW, which is a brand that he’s a member of the roster, or go to SmackDown Live to challenge for the top title on the blue branded show.
Kingston from sent a message to “The Beast” as he took to his official Twitter account where he wrote the following:
Rey Mysterio Makes WWE History
Rey Mysterio made WWE history by beating Samoa Joe in a short match to win the United States Title at MITB. As a result of this win, he has been placed in the history books as someone to join the ranks of WWE Grand Slam Champions.
Mysterio is a former WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion, 4-time WWE Tag Team Champion, 3-time Cruiserweight Champion and finally a 2-time Intercontinental Champion and United States Champion.
