The latest update on whether The Undertaker will be working the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event has surfaced online.

Although the original belief was that “The Deadman” would be working this show with his rumored opponent to be Drew McIntyre, that’s not the case. The Undertaker is currently not scheduled to be at this year’s show, according to the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Taker vs. McIntyre was locally advertised but has since been pulled. Dave Meltzer reports that match is not in the plans as of now. McIntyre was reportedly on Taker’s shortlist of opponents he wanted to face.

The Undertaker was last seen in action at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to beat McIntyre and Shane McMahon in an Extreme Rules Tag Team match.

WWE presents the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena that will air on the WWE Network. Here is the updated card:

Updated WWE SummerSlam Card

  • WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins
  • WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Natalya
  • WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Ember Moon

He should have retired as undefeated at Wrestlemania. Losing to Brock Lesnar at WM definitely took away some of the luster of his legendary status. Losing to Roman Reigns at WM only compounded that.
