El Hijo del Vikingo has set his sights on the AAA Mega Championship after making his return to the promotion\'s programming this week. On the latest episode of AAA Lucha Libre, Alberto El Patron and Konnan were in a backstage segment interrupted by the returning Vikingo.

Later on, El Patron was asked about Vikingo\'s return and made clear he was in no mood to discuss the former champion.

El Hijo del Vikingo held the AAA Mega Championship from December 2021 to March of this year and his 833-day reign is the longest in the title\'s history. Vikingo\'s reign came to an end due to an injury which he underwent surgery for in February.
In his absence, Nic Nemeth won the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania XXXII: Monterrey in April of this year. The \'Wanted Man\' lost the gold to El Patron at TripleMania XXXII: Mexico City last week, thanks to Konnan\'s interference.
