This special episode also promised an appearance by another Hall of Famer, Sean Waltman (X-Pac), to further excite fans.

To cap off his appearance, Bischoff introduced Trick Williams and Ridge Holland, competitors in the NXT Title match set for this weekend’s NXT Deadline 2024 premium live event. The tension between Williams and Holland quickly escalated during their promo exchange. While Bischoff praised both athletes, Holland dismissed Williams as a “stand-up comedian with abs,” prompting Trick to retaliate by labeling Holland as dull and uninspiring.
The verbal clash turned physical when Holland called Trick “soft,” leading Williams to throw the first punch. The confrontation spilled outside the ring, where Holland delivered a brutal DDT to Williams on the announce table, delivering such damage to the champion that he was transported to a local hospital.
