Joe Hendry’s World Championship win at Genesis is just the start of big things to come for TNA, the new champion shared after the show. At TNA’s first pay-per-view event, Hendry won the title from Nic Nemeth, the culmination of a long road to the top for the viral Scottish wrestler. Speaking after Genesis went off the air, Hendry gave praise to the Tna locker room.
“I’m so proud to be a part of this locker room. It is the greatest honor and privilege to share a locker room with the individuals in the back, and you have no idea how many of them have gone out of their way to help me get to where I wanted.”
Looking to the future, Hendry vowed to make sure fans still believed in him as TNA World Champion, saying it’s the audience who will help push TNA to a new level in 2025.
“The next order of business is for me to talk to Santino because my friends, we are just getting started. This title reign, I’m gonna give every ounce of being that I have.”
Hendry ended the festivities in Garland, Texas with a TNA chant that the fans joined in on before he said it’d been an honor and a privilege to compete at the show. With Hendry now sitting atop the TNA roster, fans are excited to see what the new year will bring TNA Wrestling and whether it can match the success the promotion saw in 2024.
