Cody Rhodes successfully defended his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at the Bash in Berlin event tonight.
This match was set up on SmackDown a few weeks ago at Cody\'s request to \"thank\" Owens for helping him against The Bloodline at SummerSlam. Owens was hesitant initially, but he was won over by Rhodes to make this main event at the Bash.
After a fantastic back and forth match to open the show with Owens refusing to take cheap shots, Cody was able to take the win after blocking a Swanton Bomb and then hitting the Cross Rhodes to retain.
