Corey Graves After WWE NXT Move: “Not Famous Enough For Your Own Job”

Last week, WWE shifted its commentary teams with Michael Cole and Pat McAfee moving to Raw while Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore are now calling the action on SmackDown. These changes resulted in Corey Graves being moved from the blue brand to NXT, a move that has seemingly frustrated the veteran commentator.

On X, Graves reflected on his journey in WWE, including being told his in-ring career was over due to injuries. Though Graves stopped short of mentioning the move from the main roster to NXT, the commentator took issue at “being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.”

Imagine chasing your dream.

Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream.

Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty f***ing awesome at it.

And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.

Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.

On last week’s NXT, which served as the New Year’s Evil show, Graves addressed his appearance, saying The Rock being on the show was good enough reason for him to show up. It remains to be seen if Graves will be a part of tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, especially after his comments on social media.

Update: Corey Graves is Heading to WWE NXT (1/14)
