Sonya Deville Working Toward Return From Injury
Deville may have experienced a career-altering knee injury, but she is working toward her return to the ring. That includes a visit to the WWE Performance Center.
According to PW Insider, Sonya Deville was spotted in Birmingham last week. She has also been present at the WWE Performance Center over the past several days.
It was reported that Deville\’s time at the PC is dedicated to the recovery process following an ACL tear sustained in August. At this time, there is no definite return timetable for Deville.
WWE\’s Abandoned Plan For Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville
In July, WrestleVotes reported that WWE had big plans for Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville\’s tag team. It was said that the company looked at them as people who could \”stabilize\” the WWE women\’s division.
There is a feeling of optimism from the company around the new Women’s Tag Champs in Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, with hopes the two can “stabilize” the tag titles with a substantial run as champions.”

Sonya Deville was able to get a gun charge settled during her hiatus. That ACL situation is her first major injury while in WWE, and it had terrible timing as well. She isn\’t sitting at home though, because a WWE return is now on the horizon for her, whenever her doctors give the green light.
