WWE is already home to a massive roster filled with talented wrestlers, but now the promotion is on the hunt for even more names. According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, WWE is set to host a tryout in early March, offering top independent talent from the UK and Europe an opportunity to impress.
The tryout is scheduled to take place in London, England, and WWE already has its eye on some notable names from the UK indie circuit, incluing Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, and Damian Corvin. The report adds that some major UK names were unaware of the tryout when initially contacted.
Wrestlers from promotions such as wXw, OTT, and PROGRESS are expected to take part. WWE has set a deadline of February 28 for applications.
Some of WWE\'s top stars honed their skills in the UK and Europe including World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre, Now, this tryout presents a major opportunity for Europe’s top wrestling talent, but only a select few will earn WWE Superstar status. 2024 saw WWE hire several notable names including Zaria, Stephanie Vaquer, and Giulia, all of whom are now part of WWE NXT.
