Opening Match Set For WWE Monday Night RAW, Star Battling Illness

WWE is going all out for tonight’s episode of RAW

WWE is going all out for tonight’s episode of RAW as the company continues to build interest for the show.

It was revealed this afternoon by Wrestling Inc that RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins will open the show when they take on Zelina Vega and Andrade in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

The match is one of two advertised main events for the show. It was also noted that Alexa Bliss is not at tonight’s RAW as she has been battling an illness. However, per the report, she is still scheduled to face WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley at this Sunday’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view event.

As noted, the other main event being advertised is Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre facing Roman Reigns and a partner of Shane’s choosing.

There’s a stipulation with this contest as it was noted by WWE in their announcement that The Undertaker is banned from the building and will be removed the scheduled Extreme Rules Tag Team Match at the PPV event if he interferes in this RAW contest.

This is an important episode of RAW as it serves as the Extreme Rules go-home edition that will be held from Newark, NJ at the Prudential Arena. Make sure to joins us for live RAW coverage at 8pm ET tonight.
