Kurt Angle Posts Statement About Farwell WrestleMania Match

1

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle continues to talk about his decision to retire from pro wrestling at WrestleMania 35 next month, which is the biggest event of the year for the WWE.

He revealed the news on Monday’s episode of RAW in Pittsburgh, PA, which led to him wrestling his final match in front of his hometown crowd when beat Apollo Crews in a singles bout.

On Tuesday, after taking some time to further think about the decision, the former WWE Champion took to his official Instagram account where he wrote the following:

“I want to thank my hometown, Pittsburgh, for the incredible reception I received on Raw last night. I couldn’t think of a better place to announce my retirement. Thanks to @apollowwe for stepping in the ring with me for my final match in Pittsburgh. It’s on to Wrestlemania, and regardless who my opponent is, I feel like I’ve already won my farewell match, because I know that every WWE fan will be cheering for me. I’m very grateful for the amazing career I’ve had, but it’s time for me to step down and move on. Wrestlemania will be a very emotional night for me, but I will enjoy every second of it. Thank you WWE Universe. #itstrue.”

As of this writing, his opponent at this show has yet to be announced. WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium

Roman Reigns Added To UK Tour in May

0

WWE has recently announced that Roman Reigns will be joining the WWE roster for their UK tour in May. The tour is a post-WrestleMania tradition and the company will be buoyed by the inclusion of the ‘Big Dog’ to the tour.

Reigns made his in-ring return at this past weekend’s FastLane event. Roman had of course been battling his second bout of leukemia and had not been performing as an active Superstar since October 2018.

WWE will be heading to the following cities in England and Wales in May:

  • 11th May – Newcastle Utilita Arena
  • 12th May – Liverpool M&S Bank Arena
  • 13th May – London O2 Arena (WWE RAW Taping)
  • 13th May – Bournemouth International Centre
  • 14th May – London O2 Arena (WWE Smackdown Live Taping)
  • 15th May – Birmingham Resorts World Arena
  • 16th May – Sheffield FlyDSA Arena
  • 17th May – Cardiff Motorpoint Arena

At the time of writing Reigns’ WrestleMania opponent has not been confirmed. It does appear however that Roman will be facing Drew McIntyre following this week’s WWE RAW show. Roman Reigns was set to compete in his first singles match in five months against Baron Corbin on RAW. As Reigns was making his entrance, Drew McIntyre attacked Roman from behind and threw him into the ring post.

Reigns got in a couple of punches but McIntyre shrugged them off and levelled Roman with the Claymore Kick. McIntyre taunted Reigns and then hit another Claymore that sent Reigns’ face into the ring post. McIntyre said that this was just the beginning before WWE officials broke it up.

Dash Wilder Comments On The Revival Requesting Their WWE Release

2

Dash Wilder is currently 1/2 of the RAW tag team champions. The Revival retained their titles Sunday at Fastlane in a triple threat match against Bobby Roode & Chad Gable and Ricochet & Aleister Black.

There have been reports in recent months that the Revival requested their release from WWE. Dash Wilder recently commented on those reports in an interview with the Mirror.

“Hmm, I won’t touch on it too much,” Wilder began. “What I will say is that it was lost in translation. There were some things that got out there that I don’t think people knew the full story about.”

Wilder continued to talk about if the online reports caused any frustration for him or his partner.

“I don’t think it aggravated us,” he continued. “It kind of gave us… again, we like to be angry. We like to be mad at things and have something to fight for. So that gave us more fuel for the fire and we were like… ‘we’ll have fun with the internet over that, as they don’t know what’s what, so we’re not going to tell them otherwise’.”

Dash Wilder Interview Highlights

Wilder also spoke about how he and Dawson aren’t flashy like some of the other NXT call-ups.

“We’re not something that’s immediately going to jump out at you like an Aleister Black, who has this grand entrance, with the candles and the smoke and the mirrors. That’s really cool, and he’s gonna do great, but that’s not us.”

The full interview can be read here.

WWE WrestleMania: Updated Card, Rumored Matches

8

We are less than four weeks out from WrestleMania. Fastlane is in the rear view mirror, so the final push to WWE’s biggest show of the year is underway.

After Monday’s RAW, here is an updated look at the WrestleMania card:

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair

It has been a long and winding road en route to this bout. From Charlotte being added to Becky being removed and later re-added, there have been no shortage of shenanigans here. Many fans prefer a singles match between Rousey and Becky Lynch, but the these three women will probably make history in the first-ever WrestleMania main event headlined by women.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins

Rollins won the 2019 Men’s Royal Rumble match to earn the right to challenge Lesnar at WrestleMania. Lesnar has been a dominant but absent champion. It remains to be seen how much longer the Beast will remain active on the WWE roster.

Batista vs. Triple H (No Holds Barred)

Batista made a surprise return to WWE by crashing what would have been Ric Flair’s 70th Birthday celebration. He assaulted Flair to reignite this rivalry with Triple H. Batista has been outspoken for years that he wanted to work a WrestleMania program with Triple H and he’s got it.

Triple H is on the mend from pectoral surgery late last year. Both men are ~50 years old. It’s been years since Batista wrestled a match. Despite these facts, this match has been been years in the making. You can bet they will both be training hard to ensure they deliver a performance fans will be happy with.

Kurt Angle’s Retirement Match

Kurt Angle announced on Raw that he plans to retire after wrestling one final match at WrestleMania. His opponent has not yet been announced, but Angle is a top-tier legend. He deserves a fitting send-off and thankfully he will end his WWE career on his own terms at WrestleMania.

Cruiserweight Championship Match

A tournament is currently underway to determine the #1 contender to WWE’s Cruiserweight Championship. The winner will face Buddy Murphy for the belt at WrestleMania

Rumored Matches

Those are the five confirmed matches. Based on what we’ve seen in recent weeks (and using some common sense), the following matches are also expected:

  • WWE Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Kofi Kingston
  • AJ Styles vs. Randy Orton
  • Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Shane McMahon vs. The Miz

There’s also the RAW and SmackDown tag titles, Samoa Joe’s United States Championship, IC Champion Bobby Lashley, John Cena and many more factors to consider.

WWE has a lot of loose ends to tie up in the next few weeks, but WrestleMania 35 is shaping up to be another can’t miss installment of the biggest wrestling event of the year.

WrestleMania 35 takes place Sunday, April 7th from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Seth Rollins Issues Warning To Brock Lesnar

1

Seth Rollins has sent a warning to WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar before they meet next week on an episode of Monday Night RAW.

This is the latest development in building their program to a match that will take place at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

“The Architect” is slated to challenge The Beast” for the strap as one of the main events of the show. Rollins earned this title opportunity when he won this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match at the pay-per-view event this past January. At that same show, Lesnar successfully retained the Universal Title over Finn Balor.

Rollins took to his official Twitter account to send a warning to Lesnar. He wrote, “Lesnar on #RAW next week….Chicago, I hope you’re down to do the talking for me because I’m ready to do the fighting for all of us. Time to let ‘em know.”

Lesnar will return to the flagship show of the company alongside his advocate Paul Heyman in Chicago, IL at the Allstate Arena. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on any other segments or matches taking place on this show.

Kurt Angle Names Several WWE Stars As Possible WrestleMania Opponents

3

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has opened up on possible opponents for his farewell match under the WWE banner at WrestleMania 35.

For weeks now, there’s been speculation as to what his future in the pro wrestling holds. During Monday’s episode of RAW in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, Angle revealed that fate as he noted that he would compete in his farewell match at WrestleMania 35. He did not announce his opponent at the show.

He would then compete in a singles bout against Apollo Crews that saw the former WWE Champion go over. Following the match, WWE’s YouTube channel released this interview where Angle spoke about his decision to retire as an active competitor and possible names that he could wrestle him in his final match.

“There are a lot names thrown in there. I mean from John Cena, to AJ Styles, to Samoa Joe, to Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, so you never know who it’s going to be. I just hope that I do win and have a great WrestleMania moment.”

PROGRESS Announces Show With Kaiju Big Battel

0

PROGRESS Wrestling has announced that Kaiju Big Battel will be heading to the UK for a very special show on May 4th. The event will be taking place during the Super Strong Style 16 weekender.

The show was originally scheduled to be taking place at The Dome in London’s Tufnell Park. However the demand was so overwhelming that the venue has been changed to Alexandra Palace, this is the same venue as the Strong Style 16 weekender.

Kaiju Big Battel is a company based in Boston created by Rand Borden and David Borden. The company’s performances are parodies of both pro wrestling and the tokusatsu kaiju kaiju eiga film commonly seen in Japan. These matches (or Battels) are presented in the style of pro wrestling contests, with the costume clad performers playing the roles of giant, city-crushing monsters similar to Godzilla. Some notable characters are Dusto Bunny, French Toast, Kung-Fu Chicken Noodle and Dr. Cube. Mashable mentioned an in a recent article that “The odd spelling of battel has a simple origin, too. It was misspelled on a t-shirt once, became an inside joke, and then stuck.”

If you have never seen the lunacy that is Kaiju Big Battel then check out the video below:

Roppongi 3K Announced For Rev Pro WrestleMania Weekend

0

Revolution Pro (Rev Pro) Wrestling has announced a big tag match for their WrestleCon event in April. Sho and Yoh of Roppongi 3K will be taking on Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis).

The show will be taking place on Friday April 5th from the Hilton New York Midtown Ballroom. Already announced for the show are Will Ospreay, PAC, Tomohiro Ishii and CCK (Chris Brookes and Jon Gresham).

Ospreay and PAC will be teaming to take on Brookes and Gresham. The two men had an incredible time limit draw at the recent High Stakes 2019 event in York Hall, Bethnal Green. Brookes and Gresham interfered during the bout which has lead to this match. There were originally rumors that Ospreay would be facing PAC as a way to give Rev Pro one of the ‘best’ in ring bouts of WrestleMania weekend.

Ticket information for the show can be found here.

Aleister Black Shuts Down Fan Who Accuses Him Of Body Shaming Lana

10

Aleister Black and Lana had a contentious exchange on social media that involved them criticizing each others’ appearance and Black shutting down a fan who tried to call him out for body shaming.

Tonight on SmackDown Live, Aleister Black teams up with Ricochet and the Hardy Boyz against Rusev, Shinsuke Nakamura and The Bar. Matt Hardy hyped the contest on Twitter by saying he, Jeff, Ricochet and Black were a “Dream Team Xtreme.”

Lana took exception with that claim by running down the babyface team of misfits. She joked that it’s hard to get excited about the Hardys returning for the 17,000th. She also said Ricochet just “flips around the ring with no emotion.”

Lana got the most personal with Aleister Black. She accuses him of tattooing his body extensively because he was so “ordinary” and insecure.

Black rightfully shot back at Lana for calling out the modifications he’s made to his body. He implied she is a hypocrite for calling him out for getting tattoos when she appears to have ‘enhanced’ herself in various ways over the years.

A fan on Twitter told Black that he was “body shaming” Lana and probably regretted doing so afterwards.

WWE Superstars React To Harlem Heat Hall Of Fame Announcement

2

Harlem Heat will join Torrie Wilson, Billy Gunn, Sean Waltman, Chyna, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, & the Honkey Tonk Man as this year’s inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Several WWE Superstars and pro-wrestlers have reacted to the news.

Triple H had the following to say regarding the legendary WCW team:

Dustin “Goldust” Runnels offered his praise for the team as well.

Goldust and Booker T

Booker T and Goldust won the WWE tag team championships at Armageddon in 2002. They won a 4-way elimination match which also featured the Dudley Boyz, Lance Storm & William Regal, and Chris Jericho & Christian. They would only hold the titles for 3 weeks, however.

Trish Stratus noted that she and Booker T worked together on Tough Enough:

Chyna’s social media team also mentioned Booker T and Stevie Ray’s upcoming induction. They sent out the following to their channels recently:

Few wrestlers are more associated with WCW than Booker T. Diamond Dallas Page might be one of them, however. DDP sent out the following in response to Harlem Heat’s pending Hall of Fame induction:

Former ECW champion, Justin Credible, sent out the following:

Former Smackdown GM and fan of impromptu tag team matches, Teddy Long, also posted to Twitter in regards to Harlem Heat:

Becky Lynch Wrestles Without Crutch At WWE House Show (Video)

2

Becky Lynch showed up at WWE’s house show in Youngstown, OH without crutches or a limp last night. WWE held a house show in the Covelli Center while Monday Night RAW was held in Pittsburgh.

Lynch wrestled Charlotte on the show and those in attendance noted she was walking without a limp or crutch:

Lynch was able to get the victory. She made Charlotte Flair tap to the Disarm-her:

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey At WrestleMania

Becky Lynch was recently added to the RAW Women’s Championship match expected to main event WrestleMania this year. Lynch won the WWE women’s Royal Rumble this year and intended to challenge Ronda Rousey but was removed from the match by Stephanie McMahon and placed under suspension.

After Rousey threatened to vacate her championship if Becky wasn’t allowed in the match, Lynch was scheduled to face Charlotte Flair at Fastlane. The stipulation at Fastlane was that if Lynch won, she’d be added to the WrestleMania main event. Rousey attacked Lynch during the match, leading to the disqualification. Due to a quirk in the rules, this led to Lynch being declared the victor via DQ and thus being added to the RAW women’s championship match at WrestleMania. The match will now be contested under triple threat rules.

Mr. McMahon To Address Kofi Kingston’s Warning On SmackDown

0

The CEO of WWE will address Kofi Kingston’s warning on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.

For those who are unaware of what took place at Sunday’s Fastlane event (full results here), Kofi Kingston was told during the pre-show that Mr. McMahon wanted to talk to him about the WWE Championship match which was set to take place later in the night.

McMahon told Kingston that he would be added in the WWE Championship match between Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens (who replaced Kingston in the first place), making it a triple-threat match, with the condition that The New Day will be banned from ringside. When Kingston made it to the ring he was informed that McMahon actually lied and he was set up for a two-on-one handicap match against The Bar.

Needless to say, The Bar was heavy on Kingston as both Sheamus and Cesaro were allowed to be in the ring at the same time. Big E and Woods came out to the aid of The New Day member, but Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev stopped them. The Bar won by hitting a double White Noise on Kingston.

In what must have been very hurtful for Kingston, Mustafa Ali was later added in the WWE Championship match, making it a triple-threat. The arena was filled with “We want Kofi” chants during the majority of the beginning of the bout.

Kingston rightfully took to Twitter on Monday afternoon to tell McMahon that he is not going anywhere and he will see him on SmackDown. It was later confirmed by WWE that McMahon will appear on SmackDown to address Kingston’s warning.

Tonight’s SmackDown Live will be taking place at the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH. Make sure to visit SEScoops for full coverage.

Paul Heyman Segment Not Shown On RAW Last Night (Video)

0

Shelton Benjamin attacked Seth Rollins last night on RAW. His actions led to a match between the two competitors.

WWE has recently posted what happened during the commercial break which led to Benjamin and Rollins having a single’s match.

Shelton Benjamin and Paul Heyman on RAW

During the segment, Benjamin was named as Brock Lesnar’s “assistant coach.” Heyman also referred to him as Lesnar’s former training partner. Rollins said that the Shelton Benjamin he knew wouldn’t hit and run but rather stay and fight him.

Shelton Benjamin

43-year-old Shelton Benjamin was first brought into Ohio Valley Wrestling nearly 20 years ago. He made his main roster debut alongside Charlie Haas as members of Team Angle in 2002. After his 2010 release, he signed with NJPW in 2012. As a part of Suzuki Gun, he left NJPW with the faction for Pro Wrestling NOAH in 2015.

Benjamin re-signed with WWE in 2017. He’d been on the shelf for about a year following surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff.

Benjamin was an All-American at the University of Minnesota in 1997 and 1998. He and Lesnar won the OVW tag-team championships 3x. Benjamin is a former 3x Intercontinental champion, 2x WWE tag-team champion (along with Charlie Haas), and a former 1x United States champion.

Tommaso Ciampa Gives Update After Surgery

0

Current NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa gave an update to fans after undergoing successful neck surgery last week.

He took to Twitter and posted a picture of himself holding his NXT Championship with a neck brace.

“Goldy and I are on the #WWEFastlane to recovery,” Ciampa wrote.

https://twitter.com/ProjectCiampa/status/1104876132300742657

Ciampa underwent successful anterior cervical fusion surgery on March 7 in Birmingham, Alabama. The usual recovery time from such surgeries is around three to six months. The statement from Tommaso gives hope that the champ will be back in no time.

Ciampa and Johnny Gargano were put on a program in the main roster with the current Raw Tag Team Champions The Revival, and their ongoing feud with each other was not mentioned at all.

The feud with Revival, unfortunately, had to be dropped due to Ciampa’s condition. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that WWE decided not to resume the feud between Ciampa and Gargano on the main roster because they were aware of Ciampa’s condition and that he “couldn’t go.”

As for the NXT Championship, there is no word yet on when the title will be vacated. Gargano was set to face Ciampa for the title at the TakeOver: New York event on April 5, but now the main event will have to be changed.

7 Takeaways From WWE RAW (3/11)

3

The March 11th, 2019 episode of WWE RAW aired live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. It was the first episode of RAW following WWE Fastlane 2019. Here are 7 takeaways from the show:

The Shield Said Goodbye, Lesnar Will Return To RAW Next Week

The Shield Goodbye

The Shield kicked off this week’s episode of RAW and got a great reaction from the crowd. Last night at Fastlane, Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns defeated Corbin, Lashley, and McIntyre in the main event.

Reigns said that he hasn’t had a 1 vs. 1 match in over 5 months and will be competing tonight. Roman brought up Rollins battling Lesnar at WrestleMania and a “slay The Beast!” chant broke out. The Shield then posed in the ring one final time before Ambrose and Roman exited.

Seth stayed behind and was about to cut a promo but Paul Heyman interrupted. Rollins told Heyman that it seems that Lesnar has a bit of a problem against Superstars with his style. Seth claimed that he was the only man “uniquely suited” to beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.

Heyman tried to make excuses for Lesnar struggling against AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Finn Balor and stated that he had very little time to prepare for those matches. Paul claimed that Lesnar has had sadistic fantasies about what he is going to do to Rollins at WrestleMania.Shelton Benjamin then attacked Seth Rollins from behind and hit Seth with three German Suplexes in a row.

Shelton Benjamin then battled Seth Rollins as Paul Heyman joined commentary for the match. Benjamin controlled the match early and connected with a knee to the face for a near fall. During the match, Heyman admitted that he paid Shelton to jump Rollins from behind. Paul answered a phone call during the match from Brock Lesnar. Heyman said that Lesnar is going to be at RAW next week. Rollins finally battled back and connected with The Stomp for the pinfall victory.

Lashley Recaptured The Intercontinental Championship

Bobby Lashly IC Title

Finn Balor defended his Intercontinental Championship against Bobby Lashley on this week’s episode of RAW. Lashley beat Balor down in the corner of the ring to start off the match.

Balor went for a DDT but Lashley blocked it and sent Balor to the apron. Bobby connected with an elbow to Finn’s face and set up for a Suplex but Balor escaped. Balor hit Lashley with a Dropkick and Bobby tumbled out of the ring.

Back in the ring, Lashley took back control and trapped Finn in a Headlock. Finn escaped and connected with another Dropkick. Finn followed it up with a Slingblade but Lashley was the first Superstar to his feet. Balor hit Lashley with a Dropkick and made his way to the top rope.

Lio Rush rang the bell and grabbed the IC Title. Balor chased Lio Rush around and booted him in the face. Bobby capitalized on the distraction and hit Balor with a Spear for the pinfall victory.

I thought Finn Balor deserved a long run with the title, but instead, WWE opted to play hot potato and give it right back to Lashley. Bobby’s first reign wasn’t entertaining at all, so I’m not sure why WWE gave him the title back.

Ronda Rousey Disrespected Becky Lynch, Charlotte & WWE Fans

rousey raw 3 11

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey came down to the ring to explain why she interfered in the match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte at Fastlane. Rousey punched Becky, resulting in Lynch winning the match and joining the title match at WrestleMania 35.

Ronda told the crowd that he doesn’t give a damn about the crowd and called them “bandwagon bitches”. Rousey called the crowd cowards and vowed to humiliate Lynch and Charlotte at WrestleMania 35.

Rousey added that Becky and Charlotte are jokes and that anyone believes in this whole charade is a joke. Dana Brooke interrupted and said that she wasn’t going to let Rousey disrespect WWE and the women’s division. Ronda attacked Dana and beat the hell out of her. Rousey connected with Piper’s Pit and then set up for an Arm Bar.

Ronda stopped and shout “pay $60 and then I’ll show you an Arm Bar. Ronda let Dana go and punched a referee in the face before heading backstage.

Rousey’s delivery in her promos reminds me of someone nervously rushing through a presentation in class. If she would just slow down a bit, she’d be great on the microphone. Having said that, this is definitely my favorite version of Rousey so far in WWE. The way she said it may have been off, but her words definitely pissed people off.

Alexa Bliss Will Host WrestleMania 35

Bliss Host WrestleMania

Alexa Bliss hosted another episode A Moment of Bliss on this week’s episode of RAW.

Bliss said that she knew who was going to host WrestleMania. Bliss added that this year’s host is way more electrifying than The Rock.

Bliss then revealed that she is going to be the host of WrestleMania 35. Alexa pretended to be choked up and stated that it is such an honor for the WWE Universe to see her host the event. Bliss added “you’re welcome” before making her way backstage.

Batista Will Face Triple H At WrestleMania

Batista WWE RAW 3 11

Triple H came down to the ring and demanded that Batista join him. Batista came down to the entrance ramp with a microphone and stared at Triple H for a bit. A personal security team then stood in front of Batista on the ramp as Triple H laughed in the ring.

Batista stood in silence for what felt like an eternity as the crowd muttered to themselves. Batista looked at his watch and Triple H said “are you just going to stand there looking like a nose ring model” and demanded that Batista come down to the ring.

Batista said that he wasn’t stupid and he learned from Triple H and Ric Flair. He asked Triple H where his sledgehammer was and that they are going to do this on his terms. Batista told Triple H to give him what he wants and HHH claimed that he wasn’t going to give him a damn thing.

Triple H blasted Batista for quitting the company several times and called him a coward for not getting in the ring. HHH referred to Batista’s security team as “the Guardians of the independent scene” and threatened to beat the hell out of them.

Batista claimed that Triple H always looked down on him and shouted at Triple H to give him what he wants. A ridiculous amount of spit flew out of Batista’s mouth while he was shouting. Once again, Batista told Triple H to give him he wants because he is in control. Triple H accepted the match at WrestleMania and Batista thanked him.

Batista claimed that it was one last match to end his career on his own terms. He then vowed to end Triple H’s career at WrestleMania as well. HHH stated that the match will be on his terms and announced it will be a No Holds Barred Match.

https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/1105289466057502720

I was looking forward to this segment, but it fell flat and the crowd wasn’t into it at all. Batista looked a bit lost during the promo and just awkwardly kept yelling “give me what I want!”. Triple H basically saved the entire segment with the Guardians joke. The match at WrestleMania 35 should be entertaining but this segment was poorly executed.

Kurt Angle Will Retire After WrestleMania

Kurt Angle RAW 3 11

Kurt Angle came down to the ring to address his future. Angle said that he always considered Pittsburgh his hometown and that he wanted to save this announcement for tonight. Kurt said that he will compete in his farewell match at WrestleMania 35.

Angle got emotional and thanked the crowd. Kurt added that it is only fair that he have one final match in Pittsburgh and then squared off against Apollo Crews.

Crews controlled the match early and connected with a Standing Moonsault for a near fall. Apollo made his way to the top rope and went for a Frog Splash but Kurt got out of the way. Kurt then planted Crews with the Angle Slam for the pinfall victory.

Drew McIntyre Attacked Roman Reigns & Then Destroyed Dean Ambrose

Mcintyre Ambrose RAW 3 11

Roman Reigns was set to compete in his first singles match in five months against Baron Corbin tonight on RAW. As Reigns was making his entrance, Drew McIntyre attacked Roman from behind and threw him into the ring post.

Reigns got in a couple of punches but McIntyre shrugged them off and leveled Roman with the Claymore Kick. McIntyre taunted Reigns and then hit another Claymore that sent Reigns’ face into the ring post. McIntyre said that this was just the beginning before WWE officials broke it up.

Roman hobbled to his feet and claimed that he was fine. Seth Rollins came down to the ring to check on his friend. Roman refused to let the doctor check him and claimed that he just had a headache. Rollins and Reigns then made their way backstage.

Ambrose then joined Rollins and Reigns backstage as they brought Roman to the trainer’s room. Dean and Triple H crossed paths and Ambrose demanded to fight McIntyre right now in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Ambrose and McIntyre traded shots on the entrance ramp to start off the match. Dean connected with a Suplex on the ramp and then launched him into the barricade. The action spilled into the crowd and into the press box. Ambrose grabbed a trash can and hurled at McIntyre as RAW went to a break.

Ambrose and McIntyre battled through the concession stand and then all the way back to the ringside area. McIntyre connected with a Belly to Belly Throw and then grabbed the steel steps next to the ring. Drew bounced the steps off of Dean’s face for a two count. McIntyre hit Ambrose in the head again with the steps for another near fall.

McIntyre brought Ambrose back into the crowd and Dean hit him with a low-blow. Dean set up McIntyre on a storage cart and then rolled him into another one and Drew fell to the floor. Ambrose followed that up with an Elbow Drop for a near fall.

Ambrose connected with a Side Suplex on the announce table and followed it up with a flurry of punches. McIntyre hit a low-blow of his own and then stabbed Ambrose in the face with a pencil. Drew then launched Ambrose into the screen for a two count. Dean then got trapped in the railing and McIntyre hit an absolutely devastating Claymore Kick for the pinfall victory. McIntyre hit Ambrose with another Claymore Kick as RAW went off the air.

Drew McIntyre stole the show tonight by saving us from Reigns vs. Corbin as the main event. The Claymore spot as Ambrose was trapped in the railing was awesome and was the best part of RAW. The rest of the show was pretty much a disaster and the build towards WrestleMania is off to a rough start.

Batista vs. Triple H Announced For WrestleMania 35

A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 35. Batista has been given what he wanted which was a match against Triple H at this show.

WWE shot an angle that had them do a face-to-face confrontation where Batista demanded the match. This led to Triple H saying that he’ll fight him at the show but it had to be in a No Holds Barred Match.

Batista viciously attacked WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair just as he was getting ready to head to the ring for his 70th birthday celebration in late February that kicked off the feud.

Bobby Lashley Wins WWE Intercontinental Title

2

Bobby Lashley has regained the WWE Intercontinental Title once again.

The title change occurred on Monday’s episode of RAW when Lashley beat Finn Balor after Lio Rush caused a distraction by ringing the ring bell several times that allowed Lashley to connect with a devastating spear on Balor to pick up the win and capture the title.

Lashley first reign happened when captured the gold when he beat Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match back on the January 14th episode of RAW, which he added to his collection of titles he’s earned under the WWE banner that includes the ECW and United States Titles.

The Monday Night RAW star won the prestigious secondary title on the red brand when he beat Lashley back at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in Houston, Texas in February.

It appears that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will continue this feud going and allowing Balor to have a rematch for his title at the next pay-per-view event for the WWE, WrestleMania 35. This show goes down on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium

Roman Reigns On The Shield’s Big Win

Former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has reacted to his big win alongside Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in the reunion of The Shield in a six-man tag team match Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin at WWE Fastlane. He wrote the following on his official Twitter account:

Randy Orton Lands Co-Star Movie Role

Randy Orton has landed a significant role as a member of the cast of Changeland.

The film is written, directed and starring longtime pro wrestling fan Seth Green that will be released on June 7th. Orton will be playing one of those characters and is billed as a co-star in the film, which marks Green’s live-action feature film writing and directorial debut.

As they share breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experiences meant for a happy couple, their friendship is exposed as potentially strained as Brandon’s marriage. The characters they encounter will impact Brandon’s life forever.”

Kofi Kingston Sends Warning To Vince McMahon

6

The storyline involving Kofi Kingston’s chase to become WWE Champion will continue on Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown Live episode as he has sent a warning to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

The latest development in this storyline came during WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event where WWE teased Kingston challenging for the strap when McMahon told him that he would be added to the WWE Title Match with champion Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens.

That didn’t happen as instead, he competed in a 1-on-2 Handicap Match with The Bar, which he lost. Later in the show, it was revealed that Mustafa Ali would be added to the WWE Title match and saw Bryan successfully retain his title. This comes after Kofi replaced Ali in the Elimination Chamber Match at last month’s pay-per-view event.

Kofi sent out the following warning on his official Twitter account when he wrote, “I’m not sure what Vince was trying to accomplish last night, but one thing became very clear: He does not want to see me as WWE Champion. After 11 years, I finally have your attention…and I’m not going away. See you Tuesday @VinceMcMahon”

For the last few weeks, the belief is that Kingston will indeed get his chance to challenge Bryan for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 35 next month.
