Dave Bautista is teaming up with an impressive lineup of A-listers for an exciting new movie project titled Alpha Gang. He will star alongside Channing Tatum, Steven Yeun, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, and Riley Keough. Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett is set to play the role of Alpha One, the alien leader, heading this unique ensemble.

Blanchett and Coco Francini are producing the film through Dirty Films. Other producers include Gina Gammell for Felix Culpa, Ryan Zacarias for Fat City, Mary Aloe for Aloe Entertainment, and Andrea Bucko for Sugar Rush Pictures.

The plot centers on a group of alien invaders who disguise themselves as a leather-clad biker gang from the 1950s, intent on conquering Earth. However, their ruthless plans are derailed when they encounter humanity’s most infectious trait: emotions.

Bobby Lashley Teases Future Plans Amid MVP and Shelton Benjamin’s AEW Signing

0

The former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has shared his thoughts on MVP and Shelton Benjamin joining All Elite Wrestling. The free agent appeared on the Lame Guys Podcast and touted what they bring to AEW.

Wrestling fans complaining about AEW signing ‘ex-WWE guys’ are missing the big picture. MVP and Shelton Benjamin bring a ton of life experience, still have gas left in the tank, and have the ability to elevate others.

“The fans need to understand… You need established guys to help elevate others.”

Bryan Danielson, Adam Copeland, Samoa Joe and Christian are among the former World Champions who have done just that.

Lashley does not plan on accumulating ring rust following his WWE exit. The Dominator has teased that fans can expect something big from him over the next few weeks. As for wether or not he’ll follow MVP and Shelton Benjamin to AEW, he’s keeping his options open.

“You think they have enough money for me?”

– Bobby Lashley on the prospect of joining AEW

“See You Soon” – Conor McGregor Taunts WWE Champ Cody Rhodes

0

As his nickname suggests, Conor McGregor is ‘notorious’ in the world of UFC and has never shied from the spotlight, for better or worse. Over the years, much has been said about McGregor joining WWE, and now the Irish fighter is ready to meet with Cody Rhodes.

On X, McGregor shared a video of Rhodes and MMA commenter The Schmo enjoying a bottle of Proper No. 12 whisky, McGregor’s own brand. McGregor was pleased to see the pair display “class personified” and told Rhodes that the pair will see each other soon.

McGregor’s comment comes after Rhodes said he supported the idea of the Notorious One making the move from MMA to WWE. On The Schmo podcast, Rhodes said that he’d love to see McGregor “dip his toes” into wrestling and believes he’d be “great” at it.

Conor McGregor in WWE: For & Against

As one of the most recognizable and charismatic names in UFC, it’s hardly a surprise that many belive McGregor would fit right in as part of pro wrestling. In February of this year, fellow Irish competitor Becky Lynch said it was “very likely” that McGregor would join WWE, and believes he has already been influenced by the brand of Sports Entertainment. McGregor himself gave a ‘you never know’ response when asked in March.

While McGregor would be a huge get for WWE, there are factors working against a deal being reached. At 36, McGregor is older than the typical WWE signing, and any negotiations would certainly fetch a high asking price that could put WWE off of his services.

McGregor has also found himself in trouble with the law multiple times, including assaulting an older man in the Marble Arch Pub in Dublin in 2019. In 2021, McGregor became the subject of an assault case involving a woman. The matter is scheduled to be heard in Dublin’s High Court on November 5.

Liv Morgan Shares What’s Next On Her 2024 Revenge Tour

0

2024 has seen Liv Morgan embark on her ‘revenge tour’ which has seen her wage war on the woman who costs her months of in-ring action; Rhea Ripley. As part of her tour, Morgan has taken the Women’s World Title, The Judgment Day, and Dominik Mysterio away from Ripley, but what’s next for this tour?

On the Insight podcast, Morgan addressed her impressive 2024 and was admittedly unsure about what’s next for her tour.

“I don’t know. At Bad Blood that was for me this is done. Rhea seems unsatisfied with the finish of this match and she’s kind of just a little bit obsessive at this point, won’t leave us alone. So I feel like there might be a little bit of unfinished business that I have to take care of. So it might not be [over].”

One concern that could be in Morgan’s future is Tiffany Stratton, whose Money in the Bank contract has put her at odds with the Women’s World Champion. On the podcast, Morgan looked at her various issues and why she’s not too worried.

“I have Nia Jax to prep for Crown Jewel. I have Tiffany potentially wanting to cash in on me, and I have Rhea who is literally being a stage five clinger and stalker for me and Daddy Dom. So there’s a lot of things going on. But luckily, I’m not looking over my shoulder. Do you know why? Because I have Raquel Rodriguez doing that for me.”

Morgan will face Women’s Champion Nia Jax at WWE Crown Jewel on November 2 to determine the first Women’s Crown Jewel Champion. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Crown Jewel including breaking news and live results.

After Raw: Dark Matches, Cody Celebrates With Cancer Survivor

0

The action didn’t stop at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania after this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw went off the air. The show saw the red brand roster continue on the road to WWE Crown Jewel, with a huge six-man tag-team match with Roman Reigns being announced for the November 2, Premium Live Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In a dark match after Raw, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was in action and defeated Carmelo Hayes. After the match, Rhodes spoke to the fans and noticed a fan’s sign that read “I Finished My Cancer Story to See Cody.” The American Nightmare invited the fan into the ring, where they shared a hug while Rhodes gifted them his weight belt.

LA Knight After WWE Raw

Rhodes wasn’t the only Superstar to win after this week’s episode of WWE Raw went off the air. In another dark match, U.S. Champion LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar. In an amusing exchange with Lilian Garcia, Knight said the recently returned ring announcer had done a great job announcing his name, but wanted her to pause between the letters L and A.

Both Knight and Rhodes have major matches this weekend at WWE Crown Jewel. Knight will defend his title against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes while Rhodes will take on GUNTHER to determine the first Men’s Crown Jewel Champion. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from WWE Crown Jewel including breaking news and live results.

The Miz Is “Dead For Sure” After Being Kidnapped By The Wyatt Sicks

0

During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Karrion Kross tasked The Miz with finding Bo Dallas and asking him why the Wyatt Sicks is getting involved with his work. Kross even threatened to break the legs of WWE’s resident A-Lister if he didn’t deliver, but now it appears a worse fate has fallen The Miz.

Taking to X after Raw, Kross shared a video of his wife Scarlet informing him that the Uncle Howdy-led faction had kidnapped The Miz. Kross responded by saying that The Miz is “definitely dead” and later reiterated that he is “dead for sure.” While Scarlett spoke about helping The Miz, Kross said he’d try and find him only for ten minutes, and would head back to their hotel room if he’s not found after that time window.

Being threatened by Kross and kidnapped by The Wyatt Sicks was only two parts of The Miz’s very bad time at this week’s Raw. During the show, R-Truth teased having a present for his former friend, only to slap the former WWE Champion across the face.

It remains to be seen when we’ll next see The Miz, or what condition the A-Lister will be in after being grabbed by The Wyatt Sicks. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from The Miz and his growing issues on Monday Night Raw.

Latest On Oba Femi’s Future After NXT North American Title Defeat

0

On the October 8, episode of WWE NXT, Oba Femi’s record-long reign as WWE NXT North American Champion came to an end at the hands of Tony D’Angelo. At NXT Halloween Havoc, Femi failed to regain the gold against ‘The Don’ in the Tables, Ladders, and Scares match, but what’s next for The Ruler?

With Femi’s future uncertain, many fans have speculated that a move to the main roster could be in the Nigerian star’s immediate future. According to Corey Brennan of Fightful however, there hasn’t been any backstage talk to suggest that Femi is coming up soon. Brennan also made clear that he hadn’t heard of anyone “saying goodbyes” after Halloween Havoc, which typically takes place before a Superstar is called to the main roster.

On the contrary, many within WWE NXT see him as “next in line for the title,” presumably the NXT Championship that Trick Williams regained earlier this month. Brennan said that NXT Stand & Deliver 2025 during WrestleMania 41 weekend was the “most likely” event where fans would see Femi dethrone Williams.

Femi has been booked strongly in NXT ever since his victory in the Men’s Breakout Tournament last year. While fans can expect a bright future for the Ruler on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown though, plans for such a move aren’t in the works at this time. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Oba Femi, who has recently teased something with Nikkita Lyons, as the Nigerian star remains a fixture of NXT programming.

AJ Styles Says He Declined TNA’s Hall of Fame Offer, Not WWE

0

At TNA Bound for Glory 2024Rhino and the late Bob Ryder were inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting, Abyss, and others. This week, it was reported that TNA approached WWE about AJ Styles being inducted, only for the Sports Entertainment juggernaut to say no.

In an update however, Styles clarified that it was he, not WWE, who turned down the chance of a TNA Hall of Fame induction. While the Phenomenal One appreciates TNA, he doesn’t wish to be a part of any Hall of Fame as long as he remains an active talent.

Styles was considered the face of TNA Wrestling for years and debuted for the company at TNA’s very first show in 2002. After an impressive run with the promotion, Styles parted ways with TNA in 2014 and would join WWE two years later. Though AJ wasn’t inducted this year, he did appear via video for Bob Ryder’s induction.

Styles has certainly done enough to warrant a TNA Hall of Fame induction, but such an honor won’t be in his immediate future. Styles has been out of action since the October 4, edition of WWE SmackDown, where he suffered an injury in his first match back on TV after a lengthy absence. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on AJ Styles and his plans in his pro wrestling future.

AEW WrestleMax, Max Month Trademarks Filed

0

Ahead of the debut of its programming on MAX, AEW has filed for several new trademarks.

AEW recently entered a multi-year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, officially announced earlier this month. On October 25, AEW filed for trademark rights to terms including AEW WrestleMax, WrestleMax, and AEW Max Month with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The trademarks are filed under “entertainment services,” with the following description:

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of wrestling.”

New Agreement

The deal is valued at $555 million over three years, excluding revenue from pay-per-view (PPV) events. AEW PPVs will become available on MAX later in 2025 at a discounted price per event.

While Dynamite and Collision will continue airing on TBS and TNT, AEW’s pay-per-view library will be added to MAX. However, it won’t launch with past AEW TV episodes on January 1st as previously anticipated.

Costco Guy AJ vs. QT Marshall Set For AEW Full Gear

0

AEW has confirmed a new match for Full Gear, its upcoming pay-per-view event, featuring AJ Befumo—a former indie wrestling standout—returning to the ring to take on QT Marshall. Befumo, one of the breakout stars of 2024, will make his comeback during Full Gear’s pre-show. This follows his recent signing of a one-match deal with AEW, where he challenged Marshall to face him on the big stage.

In a newly released promo, Marshall responded to Befumo’s challenge with a clear message: “You wanted to do this for free on the Zero Hour, in front of all your friends and family. Well, AJ, just because you think that New Jersey is your hometown — I got another thing coming for you,” Marshall said. “New Jersey, I was born. New Jersey, I was raised. And in New Jersey, at Full Gear, I’m going to beat you. I’m going to embarrass you. I’m going to prove to you that 20 years ago when you walked away from professional wrestling and passed the torch to me, QT Marshall, you made the absolute right decision. And I’m going to send you back to TikTok land. I’m going to embarrass you in front of your friends, your family, in front of Big Justice. Because, AJ, you’re going to bring the boom—but QT Marshall is going to bring the doom.”

Background

Befumo, who previously wrestled under the name Eric Justice, is now billed as “Big Boom AJ” for this bout. Known as the “Costco Guys,” AJ and his son Big Justice (Eric Befumo Jr.) have built a following by sharing videos of their Costco visits, enthusiastically showcasing their favorite food items.

AEW Full Gear 2024 will take place on Saturday, November 23, from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Cody Rhodes on Why Goldust Deserves a Hall of Fame Spot

0

Cody Rhodes may have finished his story at WrestleMania 40, but an essential figure in his journey, his older brother, Dustin Rhodes, was notably absent from the final chapters. As the American Nightmare is forging his legacy as Undisputed WWE Champion, Dusty’s oldest first-born son remains an active competitor in AEW and Ring of Honor.

Dustin has taken on various personas throughout his decades-long career, but it’s his work as the iconic Goldust character that Cody believers will secure his spot among wrestling’s legends.

“I think I was 14 years old when Goldust was really hitting his stride on WWE television,” Cody tells The Schmo. “I can certainly say that it was a unique thing to see. My friends had a lot of feelings about what Goldust was doing.”

Cody Rhodes on Goldust

At a time when many wrestlers leaned into their family legacies, Dustin defied expectations. He went all-in with Goldust—an androgynous, gold-painted character who had opponents reeling from mind games before the bell even rang.

“Knowing how much he had subverted expectations, knowing how much he didn’t want to just be a Rhodes, he wanted to be his own thing. I was very proud of Dustin throughout that whole run, what he did, and the lengths he went to do it.”

Cody Rhodes on Goldust

As the mid-90s gave way to the late-90s and society embraced Jerry Springer-style shock value, Goldust stayed at the forefront, pushing boundaries every step of the way. The portrayal of Goldust, in Cody’s view, stands as a testament Dustin’s creative genius deserving of wrestling’s highest honor.

“Goldust was an underrated part of the Attitude Era, certainly somebody worthy of the Hall of Fame.”

Steve Austin Needs Surgery on his Left Knee ‘Pretty Quick’

0

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin says he needs a “new left knee” in the near future.

Austin revealed the news on the Bobbycast podcast and explained his knee troubles began during his college football days at North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas).

He tore his ACL during his junior year, while covering a kickoff. He described it as a “mop-end tear,” where the ligament tears in the middle with frayed edges.

“I need a new left knee here pretty quick.”

– Steve Austin, Bobbycast

At the time, doctor opted not to repair the ACL, relying on the strength of his surrounding muscles instead. These early injuries set the stage for persistent knee issues throughout his wrestling career.

Over the years, Austin has had multiple surgeries, including the replacement of his ACL and PCL using cadaver ligaments.

Vikingo Vows to Return Stronger Than Ever from Knee Injury

0

El Hijo Del Vikingo has updated fans on his condition after a scary knee injury at Sunday’s post-Bound for Glory TNA Impact tapings. In his Instagram stories, he wrote:

“Thanks to my brother, Laredo Kid, for accompanying me and keeping an eye on me! I chose this sport, I am happy for the good and the bad. I will recover and come back stronger than ever. Thanks to everyone who sent me a message!”

Vikingo was stretchered out of the October 27th TNA iMPACT! tapings when he suffered a knee injury in his match against Trent Seven.

Vikingo made his return to TNA at Bound For Glory after being sidelined for seven months due to a knee injury. He challenged “Speedball” Mike Bailey for the X-Division Championship. The high-flying flip-fest saw Bailey retain his championship by executing a float-over superplex off the top rope for the victory.

JBL Promises “Global Takeover” Of Lucha Libre AAA As Part Of Ownership Team

0

As a self-made millionaire, WWE Hall of Famer John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield is no stranger to making major financial decisions. Now the former World Champion has arrived in AAA and has big plans for the company thanks to his financial backing.

After appearing at AAA TripleMania in August, JBL shared that he has become one of the main investors in the Mexican promotion. Appearing this past week for AAA, JBL spoke with Dorian Joaquín Roldán Peña, the company’s director general. In the segment, Layfield spoke about bringing AAA to the United States, declaring that it’s where the money is, but said he’d still keep a ‘territory’ in Mexico.

JBL further made his point on Twitter, promising a “global takeover” by AAA and promising to make Mexico great. Alluding to his appearances in various promotions, JBL said he’s not everywhere just yet but plans to be soon enough.

Layfield has been appearing for AAA, MLW, GCW, and TNA, where he recently thwarted Joe Hendry’s attempt at becoming TNA World Champion. After screwing over the viral Scottish star, JBL bestowed quite the moniker upon himself.

As for what John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield does next, right now, it seems only JBL knows. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from JBL and his huge international plans as an investor in Lucha Libre AAA.

TNA Requested Current WWE Star For Hall of Fame Induction (Report)

0

At TNA Bound for Glory 2024, Rhino and the late Bob Ryder were inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, joining the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting, Abyss, and others. This was an emotional highlight of TNA’s highest-attended pay-per-view in over a decade, but a current WWE Superstar was considered for the honor.

AJ Styles was considered for a TNA Hall of Fame induction, Fightful Select reports, with TNA reaching out to WWE about it potentially happening. The report adds that WWE passed on the opportunity though did not state why. The belief within TNA is that it was due to Styles’ recent injury and WWE did not want him appearing elsewhere first. Styles has been out of action since the October 4, edition of WWE SmackDown, where he suffered an injury in his first match back on TV after a lengthy absence.

There was also said to be a hope that Styles would be open to wrestling in TNA again, though its unclear if discussions were held. Styles parted ways with TNA in 2014 and would join WWE two years later. In July, Styles competed against Naomichi Marufuji for NOAH in his first non-WWE match in over eight years.

While AJ Styles was not inducted, he did appear via video during Bound for Glory during a package for Bob Ryder. Though WWE and TNA have become partners this year and AJ’s history with TNA is no secret, it remains to be seen if the Phenomenal One will appear in a TNA ring again after TNA’s request for an induction was reportedly blocked.

Series Of Injuries Impact (10/27) TNA Wrestling Tapings

0

The latest tapings of TNA Impact saw two major names face injuries, in huge setbacks both to the respective talent and the promotion as a whole. The tapings took place one day after TNA’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, which saw the Hardys win Tag Title gold while Joe Hendry came up short in his pursuit of the TNA World Title, thanks to a WWE Hall of Famer.

At Bound for Glory, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey retained the TNA X-Division Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo in an excellent match. During the tapings, Vikingo looked to bounce back when he took on Trent Seven. Fans in attendance took to social media to share that Vikingo suffered an injury and the match was halted when the referee signaled for medical aid. Tommy Dreamer and several others rushed to help out and Vikingo was stretchered away.

Later on in the tapings, ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey) took on Matt and Jeff Hardy with the TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line. During the match, Bey went down hard following what appeared to be a mistimed spot. Medical personnel rushed into the ring to attend to Bey who was carefully placed in a neck collar.

These unfortunate injuries only highlight the risks that a professional wrestler takes every time they step foot between those ropes. We’re wishing both Vikingo and Bey speedy recoveries, and hope to provide more details as they become publicly available.

WWE Alum Alicia Fox Marries Muscian Partner In Beachside Ceremony

0

Alicia Fox was part of WWE’s women’s division for years, and while she’s since parted ways with the company, her life has continued to flourish. This month, Fox celebrated a new chapter by tying the knot with her longtime partner, musician Michael Fitzgerald of Darkhorse Saloon.

On Instagram, the pair shared the happy news, posting photos and videos from the couple’s beach wedding. Several wrestlers shared their congratulations including Kelly Kelly, Jessika Havok, and WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.

image 12

Fox and Fitzgerald began dating years ago and shared in 2022 that they were engaged. That same year, Fox made a one-night return to WWE as part of that year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match which was won by the returning Ronda Rousey.

Alicia Fox

In May 2023, Fox confirmed that she was no longer with WWE, ending a 17-year tenure with the company that saw her become the first African-American Divas Champion. In April of this year, Fox, now working as Vix Crow, made her return to the ring at Starrcast’s HER event in Ballarat, Australia, where she defeated Mickie James. She has also worked against Hyan and Seleziya Sparx and has also appeared for Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion.

We here at SEScoops would like to congratulate Fox and Fitzgerald on this joyous occasion and we are sending our absolute best wishes to the pair.

YouTuber Simon Miller Wins Gold At PROGRESS Chapter 172

0

Simon Miller may be best known for his popular wrestling-related YouTube videos, but now, the 39-year-old has captured gold of his own in the ring.

Miller captured the Proteus Championship at PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 172: Werewolves of London on October 27, 2024. The match saw Miller defeat Paul Robinson in the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London, ending Miller’s reign that had been built on the grueling “knockout or tap-out” stipulation.

Following the win, Miller took to X to thank his supporters.

This win marks a major milestone for Miller, who has steadily transitioned from content creator and commentator to a respected competitor within the wrestling scene. While best known for his content-creating work, Miller has competed for PROGRESS, Alpha-1, Defiant Wrestling, and TNA, where he was part of the promotion’s Turning Point show in October 2023.

Miller’s success in the ring highlights that there’s never been one set path for wrestlers to follow to succeed in the squared circle. His success in wrestling is mirrored by the likes of Logan Paul and Bad Bunny, who similarly have seen victories in the ring despite not initially starting off as a wrestler. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from the world of wrestling and Miller’s shocking title reign.

Zaria Appears At NXT Halloween Havoc, In-Ring Debut Announced

0

At WWE NXT Halloween Havoc, Fallon Henley captured the NXT Women’s North American Championship, ending the 140-day reign of Kelani Jordan. Unfortunately for Henley, she and her Fatal Influence allies had little time to celebrate, thanks to WWE NXT’s newest arrival: Zaria.

Henley won the title in a gauntlet match that also featured Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. As Nyx began cutting a post-match promo, Zaria arrived in Hershey’s Giant Center and laid waste to all three members of the faction.

The crowd was pumped to see Zaria get physical, and they won’t have to wait long to see the Australian signing again. On X, it was confirmed that Zaria will make her in-ring debut on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

Zaria

Formerly known as DELTA, Zaria signed with WWE this year after a try out in Perth during Elimination Chamber week in February. Before arriving in WWE, Zaria made an impact in her native Australia and was a fixture of Riot City Wrestling. She is a former two-time RCW Tag Team Champion, the final holder of both the RCW Championship and RCW Women’s Championship, and the first holder of the RCW Grand Championship.

Now, Zaria is a part of WWE and is already making an impact, much to the chagrin of Fatal Influence. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on the Australian powerhouse who is poised to change things dramatically in the NXT women’s division.
