Tammy “Sunny” Sytch Reveals Sad Medical Diagnosis, Says Her Cancer Has Returned

19

While serving a 114-day jail sentence earlier this year for repeatedly violating her ex-boyfriend’s restraining order, WWE Hall of Famer Tammy “Sunny” Sytch’s prior contraction of human papillomavirus (HPV) developed into cervical cancer. After declaring in May that she was cancer-free following a hysterectomy, the 40-year-old revealed on Monday that she is not completely clear from the life-threatening illness.

Last night, Sytch worriedly wrote on her Facebook account, “Tonight is a very nerve wracking night for me…tomorrow, at 8 AM I have an appointment at my Oncologist’s office (thats my Cancer doctor) to do an exam to see if all of my cancer was removed…Im scared shitless, and very afraid that they’re going to tell me that I still have cancer cells in me, and that I’ll need mor surgery and/or radiation and chemo… Please say a prayer for me…. nothing ever scares me, but this really does,. not doing well tonight…

She added, “Headed to bed….gonna try to get some sleep…so nervous, i may not be able to…. say a prayer for me, and ill post what happens tomorrow…xoxo.”

The news was not good for Sytch. She stated on Facebook following the visit, “Just got home from the Oncologist…lets just say the diagnosis and prognosis are not good. Dont feel like going into details…very sad. I need a nap.”

She added, “This is not a rib.”

Sytch subsequently confirmed on Twitter that her cancer had returned while arguing with users—including the account of SEScoops.com—who criticized her for plugging her Amazon.com “Wish List” immediately following the somber announcement.

“F*** you…. my cancer isnt gone….im allowed to be depressed. drop dead for your ignorant remarks,” wrote Sytch to SEScoops.com’s Twitter account.

She stated to another user on the social media outlet, “Yeah, cancer reocurring is soooooo not serious…f*** off.”

WWE House Show Results (10/20): Tupelo, Mississippi

1

The following are results from the WWE live event in Tupelo, Mississippi. The event was held on Sunday, October 20, 2013.

-Los Matadores def. 3MB in tag-team action to open the show. The match went about 10 minutes long. Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal represented 3MB. Lots of comedy spots in this one.

-Tyson Kidd def. Hunico. The finish came when Kidd hit his Blockbuster finisher on Hunico. The crowd was actually pretty into this match.

-Natalya def. AJ Lee in a Non-Title match. Originally, this was scheduled as a Divas Championship match, but AJ told the crowd she wasn’t going to defend her title. In the end, Natalya picked up the submission win with the Sharpshooter.

-Alberto Del Rio def. R-Truth in a No-DQ match. With the win, Del Rio retains his World Heavyweight Championship. Truth went through a table during the match. Del Rio’s nose got busted up during the match. Truth bleed during the match as well, leading to a doctor to come out and check on him in the middle of the match. After the match, Del Rio continued to attack Truth, leading to Rey Mysterio coming out to make the save. Damien Sandow came out and teased cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase, but instead got beat up by both Mysterio and Truth.

–Intermission–

-Zack Ryder def. Wade Barrett. The crowd was kind of flat for this match. No one saw the Ryder win coming, so that got a decent pop. Ryder won with a roll-up on Barrett out of nowhere.

-The Wyatt Family def. The Prime Time Players. The Wyatt’s were over in Tupelo. Lots of fans in sheep masks and plenty of “Follow The Buzzards” signs. The Wyatt’s went over with a clothesline from hell leading to the pin.

-CM Punk def. Curtis Axel & Paul Heyman in an Extreme Rules Handicap Match. The finish came when Punk gave Axel the GTS for the pin.

Alex Shelley Receives Good Medical News, Feels He Should Continue Wrestling

13

Former TNA Impact Wrestling star Alex Shelley detailed his injuries leading up to a visit to the doctor where he awaited information on whether or not he should step away from the world of professional wrestling. The following is a summary of tweets Shelley posted on his official Twitter account.

September 2012, my first @njpw1972 tour. 4 broken front teeth via rabbit clothesline from Rocky Romero. I could hear my teeth “Ping!” when they hit the guard rail and spit chunks out as I finished the match. Later, I could smell the burning and taste the dust when they ground down the shards to bond them when I went back to Detroit after the tour.

April 2013, partially paralyzed vocal cord via Prince Devitt lariat. Had to change some of the songs at band practice and now I sound like a full time smoker. Not counting the damage from the brutal dropkicks to the face.

June 2013, slightly fractured skull via Plancha from Taka Michinoku. Spinal fluid actually leaked out my nose for a week after and I had I idea of the severity until I went to the doctor weeks later. Wrestled again that night against Devitt in a dream come true.

Finally, September 2013, severe sciatica via Liger Bomb from @taichi0319. Bad enough injury that I had to let a bunch of people down and forego my chance to become a 3 time IWGP Jr. Tag Champion. Had a hard time walking, couldn’t workout, and totally rethought my life.

I don’t consider myself tough, persay. I just really love wrestling. And @njpw1972 is wrestling. I was “orphaned”, by my choice, and NJPW gave me a home. So while I waited in the doc’s office, I really thought that 2012-2013 was my favorite year of my career. I grew the most as a wrestler, I (hopefully) won over @njpw1972 fans and proved to everyone I could adapt and learn and go in the ring. This was the first time I thought “Maybe I need to get out.” So, understandably, I was pretty scared when I went in again last week. But nope. I am supposed to continue wrestling, I think. Cleared to lift weights, burnout on cardio, and should make a full recovery. :)

Photos Of CM Punk & AJ Lee Together

110

CM Punk and AJ Lee are now dating, according to Mexican wrestling legend and former WCW Superstar Konnan.

Last month, “The Straight Edge Superstar” and the WWE Divas Champion were shown seated together at Wrigley Field during WGN’s broadcast of a Chicago Cubs versus Pittsburgh Pirates game. This naturally jump-started rumors online, especially on social media—some fans on Twitter have stated that they were blocked by Punk for mentioning Lee to him in messages.

Konnan learned of this tidbit from his source within the sports-entertainment organization. While addressing WWE happenings on the MLW Radio podcast, he stated, “I would also to say that I found that AJ Lee is dating CM Punk, I don’t know if that’s public knowledge.”

Punk had been romantically linked to former WWE talent Amy “Lita” Dumas as recently as last spring. Co-host Court Bauer asked Konnan, “He’s done with Lita?” He responded, “Yep.”

Konnan continued to dish on Punk, stating that some people in the company feel he has a “huge head.” Furthermore, the former Max Moon reveals that Punk once “hated” fellow top star John Cena for similar behavior.

“To me, it’s like, alright, you waited all this time to become a big star, and all those guys that had a big head, that you hated, like Cena,” said Konnan. “And now you have a big head. You need to bring your s**t down back to ground.”

He reiterated further, “I was told by my source in WWE that CM Punk has a big head and he’s conceited.”

This new episode of MLW Radio is available for free at MLW.com and on iTunes (search: MLW Radio), along with episodes featuring Chris Jericho, The Ultimate Warrior, Billy Corgan, Konnan, Carlito, Teddy Hart, Sean Waltman and many others—a new episode drops every Sunday.

X-Division Title
Ultimate X Match
-Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin vs. Samoa Joe vs. Manik

As soon as the match begins, Sabin immediately climbs to the top. All the guys notice this and he backs off and heads to the floor. He yanks Aries out of the ring while everyone else fights on the inside. Aries slams Sabin’s head into the steel structure on the outside. Everyone else follows to the outside and brawls while Sabin and Manik head back into the ring. Sabin catches Manik in the tree of woe and stomps on his crotch. Joe pulls Sabin down and hits him with a nasty series of right hands. Joe sends Sabin in the corner and follows with a splash enzugiri combo. Joe hits the snap mare and chops his back before kicking his chest. Joe runs right into a springboard dropkick from Manik. Aries and Hardy climb up the structure while Manik mounts Sabin with punches in the corner. Aries tries to scale the ropes, but Hardy pulls him down and Manik tosses him to the outside. Manik hits a double hurricanrana on Hardy and Sabin before locking in the octopus, then a modified sharpshooter on Sabin. Aries comes in, breaks it up, and hits a kneebreaker belly to back suplex combination. Aries goes back up but Hardy yanks him down and hits a backwards powerbomb style move that results in Aries landing face-first.

Hardy goes out to the floor and pulls out a ladder. Joe runs after him and flies through the ropes, crashing into Hardy on the floor. Joe picks up the ladder, but is caught with a baseball slide from Sabin. Manik hits Sabin with a dropkick out to the apron. Aries heads to the top and dives to the outside to take out Joe and Manik. Aries heads into the ring and props himself up lazily in the corner, posing, before heading back up to the ropes. Manik slides in and pulls Aries down to the mat. Aries and Manik trade uppercuts, and Manik backs Aries into the corner. Manik catches Aries with a boot, then hits Sabin with both boots. Sabin tosses Manik into a hurricanrana on Aries. Manik hits a springboard hurricanrana, taking Sabin and himself over the top rope to the outside. Joe punches away at Aries in the corner, taking him down to the mat. Joe seats Aries on the top turnbuckle and tries for the musclebuster, but Aries counters into a sloppy crucifix bomb. Aries hits Hardy with the corner dropkick, then hits Joe with the same move. Aries hits Hardy with another dropkick, then does the same to Joe. Aries tries for the brainbuster on Joe, but Joe counters into a rear naked choke. Joe swings Aries around before tossing him across the ring. Manik goes for the ropes, but Joe grabs his legs and yanks him down into an atomic drop before hitting a big boot and senton splash.

Sabin tosses Hardy into the corner, and Hardy kicks Sabin away, then hits the whisper in the wind. Hardy rolls to the outside, and goes back for the ladder, bringing it into the ring. Hardy sets the ladder up under the belt, and climbs, but Joe is up on the other side, and he slams Hardy’s face into the ladder to knock him off. Aries knocks Joe off the ladder with a top rope dropkick. Manik springboards and catches the ropes and Aries climbs the ladder. Aries and Manik meet in the middle, but Sabin tips over the ladder and sends both men crashing into the ropes. Sabin picks up Hardy and shoulders him, tossing him out in a front slam. Sabin poses before trying for a superkick. Hardy blocks it and counters into a twist of fate, sending Sabin from the ring. Sabin is telling Velvet to get into the ring and stop Hardy. She doesn’t want to. Sabin simply throws her into the ring himself. Sky stands up and Hardy turns around and sees her. While he’s distracted, Sabin is on the opposite side of the ladder beginning his climb. Hardy finally notices, attempts to climb the ladder himself, but it’s too late. Sabin has the belt. Hardy had a hand on it as well, but Sabin blasted Hardy with belt and Hardy went crashing down to the canvas. Sabin wins.

Winner and NEW TNA X-Division Champion: Chris Sabin

In-Ring Segment: Abyss Returns!

Christopher Daniels and Kazarian, who lost during the pre-show Gauntlet Match, are coming out to the ring. Kaz has a mic and he says not since the premiere of Brokeback Mountain have two men been screwed more than Bad Influence. The fact that they aren’t wrestling for the titles is an embarrassment, not only to TNA, but to them, the best tag team in the business, and to each and every one of the turds in attendance. Daniels says this is Bound for Glory, the PPV that is supposed to celebrate that which is TNA, and despite the fact that TNA has treated them like the step-children of the company, they are TNA. They are the best tag team this company has ever seen, and Daniels knows a way that TNA can make it up to them. Fact: tonight, Bad Influence beat Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez. Fact: Eric Young and Joe Pancake aren’t a tag team, but a fisherman and a lawyer, so their win shouldn’t count. And third, the company like to throw curveballs and throw people into the match at the last minute, and based on their pristine record, Bad Influence should be added to the card tonight. They are interrupted by Eric Young who makes his way to the ring wearing trunks and a backwards baseball cap. Young tells BI that he’s not a trouble maker. He doesn’t feel bad, he doesn’t want a match, he’s already beaten them once tonight. Young says he’s here on official, scientific business. He’s a scientist. BI did something earlier, they created a monster. Everyone here and EY know, and BI are the only two that don’t realize that they should run. Young tells them to run. Daniels shake Young’s hand. As Kaz goes to shake his hand, they attack him instead. This leads to Abyss returning and coming out to the ring. Abyss cleans house, hitting the Blackhole Slam on both Daniels and Kazarian. Young, who is still in the ring, looks worried. Abyss extends his hand and helps Young up. Young smiles as Abyss poses for the fans.

Backstage: James Storm & Gunner

Backstage, we see Jeremy Borash. Borash plugs the Twitter and Facebook stuff and then introduces his guests, the TNA Tag-Team Champions Gunner and James Storm. Gunner says BroMans, who won the pre-show Gauntlet Match, earned their shot tonight. He tells them not to worry about their tan, their gym, their girls or their dancing. He says they aren’t ready for the champs. James Storm then says BroMans were lucky. He tells them he’s sorry about their damn luck.

TNA World Tag-Team Titles
-James Storm & Gunner (c) vs. BroMans

All the guys immediately start brawling to start this match off. Storm and Gunner team up on Robbie before picking up Jesse and throwing him into Robbie. Robbie and Jesse bail, and Gunner backdrops Storm over the top and to the outside, wiping out both men. Storm catches Jesse with a big right hand, then follows up with a giant hip toss. Storm works over the arm before tagging out to Gunner. Gunner hits Kesse with a couple of big clubbing blows and a back elbow for two. Jesse gets caught in the corner with a running knee to the gut that Gunner follows up with a slingshot suplex for two. Gunner takes the fight to Jesse in the corner, chopping away at his chest. Gunner ends up tossed in the corner, but connects with another back elbow and catches Robbie with a right. Jesse pulls Gunner off the ropes and makes the tag to Robbie. BroMans throw Gunner into the corner hard before Robbie mounts Gunner with a series of punches. Robbie and Jesse use quick tags to distract the ref and score quick strikes and cheap shot opportunities. Jesse pulls Gunner to the mat by his hair, tags out to Robbie, and Robbie goes right for the rear chin lock. Gunner tries to connect with the backslide, but Jesse comes in with a dropkick and takes out Gunner.

Robbie E. is taunting Gunner, slapping him around a bit. Gunner fights his way out of their corner and hits a running knee on Robbie. Jesse sends Storm from the corner, and prevents a tag. Robbie drops a knee over Gunner’s throat, and tags back out to Jesse. Jesse comes in with a series of stomps to Gunner’s face, sending him into the corner and following up with a sidewalk slam. Jesse heads up to the middle rope, but he’s stopped by Gunner. Gunner goes up after Jesse and hits a huge fall away slam off the second rope.

Storm sends Robbie into the corner and is backdropped to the apron, but he catches Robbie with a kick to the back of the head. Storm hits a running neckbreaker on Robbie for two. Jesse attacks Storm from behind, and Gunner attacks Jesse. Gunner is double teamed and sent from the ring, and Jesse and Robbie seat Storm on the top turnbuckle. BroMans try for a double superplex, but Gunner takes Robbie away with an electric chair drop, and Storm hits a super-front-plex, launching Jesse on Robbie. The finish comes when the heels throw one of the belts in the ring. Storm gets distracted for a moment, and turns around right into the double-team finisher by BroMans. That’s all she wrote. We have new TNA Tag-Team Champions.

AJ Styles On Stars He’d Like TNA To Sign, Hulk Hogan, Bound For Glory & More

16

The following are highlights from a new TSN interview with TNA Impact Wrestling star AJ Styles

On people he would like to see signed by TNA: “They’re overlooking the guys who deserve a shot at the world title, who have the talent to be a world champion. They don’t have to come from that other place [WWE], they can come from the independents. But we have to leave the door open for young guys to come in and get a chance. Let them be their own guy instead of a cookie cutter like they get at that other place. From the independents, Delirious has been one of my favorites for a long time. I’d like to see him signed. I also miss Alex Shelley. He and [Chris] Sabin, as the Motor City Machine Guns were a great tag team. I would love to see him back.”

On the change in his personality over the past year: “I think it’s a personality that everyone has. You reach a breaking point, you push the right buttons, and you see this guy come out that you never knew you had in you. I got pushed over the ledge and it turned me on, turned me into this new guy. A little more aggressive and a lot more drive.”

On his thoughts on working with Hulk Hogan: “[Hulk] Hogan can open up doors that we normally wouldn’t be able to open without that. He adds experience and it’s been an experience working for him.”

On his match with Bully Ray at Bound For Glory: “I’m going to leave it all out in the ring. These people paid their hard earned money to see two people beat the crap out of each other in the ring. Be ready to be entertained and maybe even have your breath taken away. Hard-hitting and a match that you’re going to remember. I have to be more focused than ever. Bully Ray will have to kill me if he wants to beat me. And I just don’t think that’s going to happen.”

WWE House Show Results (10/19): Louisville, Kentucky

The following are results from the WWE live event in Louisville, Kentucky. The event was held on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

-Tons Of Funk def. The Real Americans. This was a decent comedy match to open the show. In the end, Clay pinned Swagger to give his team the victory.

-Naomi def. Brie Bella in Divas action. Pretty much what you would expect.

-Justin Gabriel def. Tyler Breeze. Breeze is an NXT star who got bumped up to help fill a show where the talent depth was lacking.

-Big Show, The Miz & Dolph Ziggler def. The Shield. The match ended via Disqualification, with the babyfaces going over.

–Intermission–

-Santino Marella def. Fandango. The two started off dancing competitively. Santino “won” that, and then won the match that followed as well.

-Ryback def. Kofi Kingston. Kingston got in some offense in spots, but Ryback was made to look strong in this one.

-Daniel Bryan def. Randy Orton in a solid match to close out what was a pretty lackluster event overall.

7

The following are highlights from a recent interview with WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler:

On his first memory of watching WrestleMania: “WrestleMania IV when they had the tournament for the title (won by Randy Savage). I was cheering for Ricky Steamboat. I was a big fan of Steamboat as a kid.”

On his dream opponent for WrestleMania: “Shawn Michaels.”

On his favorite match in WrestleMania history: “Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV (won by the Undertaker). They could have just had a good match, and we would all still be talking about it. But they went out and had one of the best storytelling matches of all-time. I went into the crowd and just watched it.”
