Credible Talks DiBiase’s WWE Departure, Styles/TNA; Big Vito’s Wrestling Academy

SESCOOPS.COM reader Phil Johnson sent along the following:

Former ECW Champion Justin Credible has posted a new blog at PWMania.com. This week Credible talks on Ted Dibiase’s WWE departure, Monday’s Raw, AJ Styles’ TNA contract, Ring of Honor, among other topics. Matt Striker and Rick Cataldo are this week’s special guest on Justin Credible’s Pro Wrestling 101 video series. Here is an extract from “The Justin Credible Report:”

“I was really surprised that Ted DiBiase Jr. will not be resigning with the WWE. It’s not like he has a lot of options in the wrestling business. There has to be more to this than meets the eye. I mean he has everything that the WWE looks for. He’s talented, young, good physique, and he’s a third generation wrestler. I know he hasn’t been on TV in a while, but he had tremendous upside, and even starred in a WWE movie. It speaks volumes to me about how things are from a performer’s perspective on the main roster. I’m sure he will be back in the WWE at some point in his young career.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Grand Opening of Big Vito’s Wrestling Academy

(Clearwater, FL) August 27- The big day has finally come. I am officially opening my Wrestling Academy- Big Vito’s Wrestling Academy. I am very honored and privileged to be doing this. I have learned from the best and been taught by the greats in our sport. The one thing I was taught from day one is pass it on. I understand it. I have helped many very quietly for a long time. Now, I get to help make the next generation of stars. Teach wrestling the one way, the right way. I may be a perfectionist, no nonsense, hard nosed, tough on you guy, but its for your own good.

Plenty of guys always ask me to watch their match, I never told them what they did good, I told them what they need to work on. Some can take it, others complain about it. The ones who took my advice got better, and the others, they are in the same place doing the same thing with the same people.

I have the credentials to teach you how to become a pro. At my academy, I want you to live and see what I have seen, do as I have done. Go from the bottom to the top, feel the excitement of the crowd, become a champion, be the best, have the respect from your peers, know when you walk in the room, you get people’s attention just from your presence. Become the one who people measure up to and say, “I want to be better than him”. My training methods are proven as I have taught people all around the world.

This will become the place to be, a unique place. There are some fine schools out there. This is an academy. You will learn 2 things: Discipline and Wrestling. You will become regimented: Eating habits, training habits, wrestling, mixed martial arts, the business side of things. You will leave there the complete package. You will not leave there without the skill and mindset needed to become a Pro. You will be able to take care of yourself anywhere in the world today. No matter what style there is, you will be able to compete. If you come there with a dream, I will make sure I do all I can to help you live it. Does not matter what you look like in the beginning, in the end, you will look like a pro wrestler.

I tell everyone the same thing: Not Everyone Makes It. It is true. Who is someone else to tell you that you can’t? That is not allowed in my academy, everything is “I Can”. Never let anyone stop you from your dream. It is your life. If you let people dictate to you what you can and can’t do, then you might as well be a puppet. Every challenge in life is something. I have taken all the chances, I am not afraid. I made something of myself. You can do the same at my academy. I am currently doing movies, commercials and still wrestling. The school becomes a part of my everyday life. I am the only trainer at the school. I will train you. No one else. Hands on. If you have heart like Big Vito, you can do anything. I have done everything.

Training sessions can be viewed by parents. I want to make this something good in the community as well. I would like to work with kids also in the afternoons. There will be an afternoon program for them. Or, if you think your son or daughter needs some tough love, bring them in. They will be taught respect, school work is important, clean your room, and be polite to your parents. Another thing you will learn from here is you will be able to stand on your own 2 feet in life, you will be able to handle not just wrestling but life in it self. You can’t put a price tag on that.

There will be giveaways and trivia on August 31, 2013 at 1pm at Spa 24 in Clearwater, Florida. I have many sponsors who have donated different items to make this a fun filled day.

Hope to see you soon!

Foley Says He’s Disappointed WWE Hasn’t Embraced His Comedy, Talks Punk/Bryan

6

SESCOOPS.COM reader Aaron Carnevale from Monday Night Mayhem sent along the following highlights from Mick Foley’s recent appearance on their radio show:

How his “Tales From Wrestling Past LIVE” differs from a typical “stand-up comedy”: “Well there are all kinds of comedians. Most people associate comedy with jokes, and I don’t really do many set-up punch line jokes. I try to take people on a journey, where they are laughing most of the time and intently listening some of the time. I also reserve the right to say stuff that is ridiculous.”

The WWE’s reaction to his comedy shows and the possibilities of making “Tales From Wrestling Past LIVE” part of a WWE Pay-Per-View weekend (the night before or right after the PPV): “They are giving a lot of positive feedback. I think this is the year that they (WWE) will see that they don’t need to take a giant leap into this form of entertainment. They just need to take a side-step, and they are there. I have been a little disappointed that WWE hasn’t embraced it yet, but I really believe in a year’s time they will make it part of SummerSlam Axxess.”

Why he enjoys “being on the outside, looking in” and his thoughts on the current WWE landscape with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk at the helm: “One of the fun parts of being on the outside looking in is I find out things when everyone else will. I think Daniel Bryan isn’t only responding with the best wrestling of his career, but he is also reaching emotional depths that he wasn’t reaching a few short years ago. I’m also a big fan of Punk’s storyline (with Paul Heyman) right now.”

Goldberg Interested In A WWE Deal Similar To Lesnar’s

53

After throwing out the first pitch at Saturday night’s Miami Marlins game (and delivering a spear the Marlins pitcher) Bill Goldberg took part in a media Q&A session covering a wide range of topics.

When asked about whether he was surprised to see Lesnar back with WWE. He said:

“No, not at all,. The reality is, if you’re a smart businessman, you leave opportunities open. Why wouldn’t he come back and capitalize on what he did in UFC and get a 23-day deal for a year? Why wouldn’t you do that?”

He was also asked about whether he would be interested in signing a deal with WWE similar to that of Brock Lesnar, where he would only have to work a select number of dates. He replied:

“I’d consider something like that, for sure.”

Goldberg said that he currently stays in shape by training Muay Thai three days a week.

Dolphins1925 Issues A Statement To The WWE Universe

22

Reddit user Dolphins1925, the infamous person who has been leaking WWE pay-per-view results since February’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, issued the following statement on Tuesday night:

“Since I joined reddit, My motive has been simple: To draw attention to a very important problem and ongoing issue within the WWE industry, while concurrently abstaining from turning the community into a circus act. For these reasons, I have made my posts few and far between. I did not respond to messages, e-mails, comments, or interview requests. My goal was NOT to be the spotlight of attention, but rather to draw awareness to the inexcusable, insultingly obvious schemes that are taking place behind the scenes of the WWE. I figured the best means of action to demonstrate these schemes was to post sparingly and exclusively, before each respected PPV, and simply allow my results to speak for themselves. In doing so, I went 38-0 over a course of 5 successive PPVs; all the while going 3-0 at Summerslam after receiving news from my source that many match outcomes were being changed at the last minute.

I feel that a step has certainly been taken in the right direction, as now most wrestling fans are well aware of an existing mole within the industry. However, the primary misconception regarding the mole is that I am, or am directly affiliated with him. Rather, the mole is anonymously releasing the outcomes to a small, exclusive group of individuals; all of whom are benefiting off it at the expense of the WWE, its fans, and the integrity of their product. This had been ongoing for several months before I began to address it publicly. Eventually, this ordeal had reached a point in time where I felt it was appropriate and necessary to release a statement on reddit.

Nevertheless, I commend WWE’s noble efforts to ensure secrecy during last week’s Summerslam event. However, it is my belief that the course of action taken to resolve the leaks was merely to discredit me by changing the outcomes of matches at the last minute, rather than actually stopping the mole. They are shooting the messenger, and the leaks are still taking place. I am confident that if I went silent, the leaks would continue full-throttle, and the frankness of the product would continue to be compromised. For this reason, I think the attention should be diverted from me and rather on the mole himself

As I’ve stated before, my intention is wholesome. The last thing I want is for these leaks to persist, and to continue to witness the downfall of the integrity of the WWE; an industry that is filled with extraordinary talent and unmatched potential. I feel that putting an end to these leaks is paramount in restoring the candidness to the business. The company deserves it, the wrestlers deserve it, and most importantly, the fans deserve it. Do what’s right for business – Please stop the leaks.

Yours truly, Dolphins1925

EDIT: TO CLARIFY: I am NOT in contact with the mole. My source receives his information from a member who IS in contact, however the mole leaks his information anonymously”
