Scott Hall Talks About DDP Changing His Life, His Son In WWE

13

Courtesy: www.MondayNightMayhem.com

Former four-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, former seven-time WCW World Tag Team Champion, and former two-time WCW United States Champion Scott Hall, was the featured guest on this past week’s all-new edition of the award-winning Monday Night Mayhem, hosted by “The Chairman of the Board” Todd Vincent and The Big Mosh.

Scott Hall Discusses DDP Yoga Forever Changing His Life, How Scott Hall, The Man, Has Changed Over The Past Two Years (From ESPN’s “E:60” To HBO’s “Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel”), What He Learned About Himself And About From Then To Now, His Relationship With Diamond Dallas Page And Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Why He Thinks They Both Reached Out To Him In A Time Of Need, What His Expectations Were Prior To Moving Into The “Accountability Crib,” The Message To His Fans For Helping Him Raise Over $100,000 For His Recent Medical Bills,Why He Has Always Resonated With The Rhodes Family, What Dustin Rhodes’ Recent RAW Showing Says About The Power Of The “Rhodes Dynasty,” If He Would His Own Opportunity To Work Again With World Wrestling Entertainment In The Foreseeable Future, Whether Or Not His Son Becoming A WWE Superstar At Some Point Is A Foregone Conclusion, Plus Much More In His Monday Night Mayhem Debut!

Stream The Show Here (.MP3): Scott Hall On Monday Night Mayhem

Here are some highlights of what Scott Hall said about the following topics (courtesy of Aaron Carnevale):

His relationship with Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Diamond Dallas page prior to the both of them reaching out to him/moving into the “Accountability Crib” and what the character quality he enjoys the most about DDP“I never knew Jake (Roberts) personally until the past few months. I’ve known Dally for years and years. We crossed paths in Florida Championship Wrestling before either of us had any success. We have an honest and open relationship, which is what I really like about Dally.”

How Scott Hall, the man, has changed from the airing of the “E:60” piece on ESPN in 2011 to the airing of the “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” piece on HBO several weeks ago and what he has learned about himself and about life during these past two years: “I’ve been saying the same thing. I really don’t know what happened. If it was something that I could identify and give to people I would. I know it is working for me now.”

Why he has always resonated with the Rhodes family, his thoughts on Goldust’s WWE return, and what Dustin’s recent RAW showing says about the power of the “Rhodes Dynasty”: “I don’t stay in touch with Dustin (Rhodes) as much as I’d like. I’ve followed him, and I’m happy for him. He is doing great. For him to show up and rock it on RAW cements the fact that everybody in the Rhodes family can go. Dusty started me in the business, so I’ve always had a strong connection to them.”

Whether or not he believes that Cody being in the WWE is a foregone conclusion, based on the WWE’s history of recruiting and signing second/third-generation stars: “Who knows. Does Cody want to wrestle in the WWE? Of course he does. But he is intelligent enough to realize that he is a long way from being ready for that. Now his job is to train as a professional wrestler.”

Much more is contained in Scott’s highly-anticipated MNM debut, including how much DDP Yoga has forever transformed his life emotionally, mentally, and physically, how DDP Yoga is different from other exercise programs, his experience of living in the “Accountability Crib” with Diamond Dallas Page and Jake “The Snake” Roberts, his thoughts on Goldust’s WWE return, how DDP Yoga has helped to strengthen his relationship with his son, the progression of Cody’s wrestling career, the support and loyalty of wrestling fans, and his message to those currently struggling with addiction. Mark Henry Talks About Life Outside Of WWE, His Early Days In WWE

7

WWE Superstar Mark Henry recently appeared on actor/comedian Jay Mohr’s “Mohr Stories” podcast.

The two discussed Henry’s recent feud with former WWE Champion John Cena, and how he reached out to celebrities and used Twitter to foreshadow his retirement from pro wrestling. Mohr stated that Henry even worked him over, telling him weeks before the event that he was “tired” and “sick of waking up with his knees hurting”, even convincing his friends that he was headed towards retirement. Mark’s wife Jana was on hand for the interview, and confirmed that Henry even told her he was planning on retiring almost one month before giving John Cena the World’s Strongest Slam on Monday Night Raw.

Here are some highlights of what Henry said about:

Maintaining A Home Life While Being A WWE Superstar:

“I want to be known as a great dad more than anything. Kids – young men find it uncool to be a dad I think. It’s very cool to me … I love being at home with my kids. I got pissed yesterday because I get a call and a video, that my daughter swam for the first time without the floaties on. I miss all that kind of stuff.”

Having Issues With JBL Early In His WWE Career:

“I used to have an issue with Bradshaw . When I was young, he used to pick on me. Ribbing is a part of wrestling. That’s the way they show a fondness for you – they play practical jokes on you. They put your wrestling gear in plastic bags and throw it in the shower. Just stupid stuff. They hazed me – I wanted to fight everybody. They were like ‘look man, you’ve gotta quit trying to fight everybody. We’re trying to be brothers with you.’ It took a while for me to understand that. John is one of the people I respect most in the business now.”

-Daniel Bryan def. Randy Orton. John Laurinaitis came back out before the match to force Big Show to sit at ringside and watch. Big Show is told if he interferes, he will not be paid. Both Bryan and Orton got big reactions coming out. The finish here came when Bryan countered an Orton RKO attempt and blasted him with his running knee for the 1-2-3. After the match, The Shield comes out and attacks Bryan. The Miz and R-Truth come back out to help, but they end up getting beat down as well. Eventually, Big Show came in the ring and cleaned house. Big Show, R-Truth, Miz and Daniel Bryan all celebrated to end the show.

Jerry Jarrett Says TNA Focusing On Former WWE Talents Is A Mistake, Talks Dixie Carter & TNA’s Future

24

Inside The Ropes have launched a VIP service this week and one of their new shows is Lets Get Creative where they talk to wrestling bookers and writers. In the debut show, they spoke to Memphis promoter and TNA Founder, Jerry Jarrett. Here’s a portion of what Jerry had to say about TNA:

On Dixie’s non-wrestling background and how that effects her running a wrestling company: “You’ve got to have an unabiding respect for the business or it’s impossible to be successful. When I was in the wrestling business, me and the wrestling business were intertwined. I ate it, slept it, dreamt it. The wrestling business was my mistress. Dixie saw her first match after she had ownership, I think and I know for a fact she has little regard for the tradition or the history of the business. So, if you don’t know what brought you to the dance, how are you supposed to learn from it and build on it. After all this years, it’s pretty obvious that I’m right. TNA today is as closed to being a non factor in the business as you can get.”

Thoughts on TNA’s focus on ex-WWE talents: “That’s one of the mistakes they made. They can’t seem to get past the fact that when you bring in guys that WWE has let go, fans are going to see them as yesterday’s soup. But of course you have to have someone who knows how to cultivate and create talent otherwise you have no choice but to use whoever’s available, thats named talent. It’s pretty obvious that they don’t have anybody that knows how to create talent. I’m guessing, because I haven’t seen the show in 2-3 years, but I’m sure there’s talent there that could be superstars. Truth, Ron Killings was in TNA and then you saw when he went to WWE how Vince made him into a superstar. In the wrestling business, it’s really not any secret, it’s understanding that if you’re making a movie. what are the ingredients you need? A compelling storyline, a great producer/director and great talent. You mix those ingredients and you get great cinema. But if you take this great star or talent and put him in a stinking movie with a stinking producer director, what do you get? and the wrestling business is a dance between the promoter or booker or writer and the talent. They have to be on the same page and they both have to be good.”

TNA’s future: “I am amazed, because when I was there, Bob Carter called me at least two to three times a week and said “I can’t lose any more money, Jerry” and I said, “You’re needing to talk to your daughter, not to me.
