BFG Series Semi-Final:
-Magnus vs. Bobby Roode

BFG Series Finals:
-The winners of the Aries/Styles and Magnus/Roode matches will square off against each other in to determine the Bound For Glory Series winner, who will then challenge for the TNA World Title at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

-Following the live No Surrender edition of Impact Wrestling tonight in St. Louis, TNA will tape next week’s edition of Impact Wrestling. Anyone attending the event, feel free to send-in a live report.

-Part-time WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently confirmed via his official Twitter account that he will in fact star in the upcoming WWE Studios project, “The Fall Guy.” Rock wrote:

“The unknown stuntman who moonlights as a bounty hunter. Fired up to play the role. Cool, bad ass & fun. #TheFallGuy”

-According to one source, WWE Superstar The Miz’s days as a babyface are likely coming to an end soon. WWE attempted to push Miz as a face recently, but everyone in the company seems to agree that Miz is a natural heel.

TNA Impact Wrestling star Hulk Hogan was recently interviewed by CBS Sports 920 in St. Louis to promote tonight’s live TNA No Surrender edition of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV.

In the interview, Hogan spoke about Brooke Hogan’s TNA departure for the first time. Hogan noted that she is getting married and “switched gears quickly on us,” implying that it was actually Brooke’s decision to leave the company.

As reported recently, WWE Superstar John Cena will likely be unable to compete in the ring until the Royal Rumble pay-per-view next year. However, there is already talk of bringing the former “face of the company” back to WWE television.

Apparently, Cena himself wants to start making appearances on WWE television for “Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” which is in October. Cena wants to appear to help the company with their campaign.

Speaking of Cena, his rehab process is expected to be one of the major storylines on the second half of the WWE Total Divas season, which begins in November.

Details On Major Communication Issues Between WWE Officials & Creative Team

As we reported prior to the Cody Rhodes “firing” angle that took place on RAW a few weeks ago, the communication broke down between WWE officials and the creative team. That is the reason the angle seemed rushed, as Rhodes requested time off for his upcoming wedding and honeymoon, and WWE failed to write him off of television until the last minute.

Apparently the same can be said for Mark Henry. As noted, Henry injured his hamstring at a recent WWE live event, but has since been cleared to return to in-ring action. According to one source, the creative team was not aware that Henry was cleared to compete until reading it online. The communication backstage in WWE is said to be in really rough shape at the moment, resulting in the Rhodes and Henry situations.

According to one source, the plan as recently as this past week was for Daniel Bryan not to win the WWE Championship from Randy Orton at this Sunday’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.

As is always the case when it comes to WWE, especially top pay-per-view programs, those plans could change a million times between now and Sunday. However, with Bryan finally gaining a small measure of revenge on Orton to close out this past week’s RAW, it’s likely that the original plan of Orton retaining his WWE Championship at the pay-per-view this Sunday is still set in place.

-Current Ring Of Honor stars Mike “The Prodigy” Bennett and Maria Kanellis are currently planning their real-life wedding.

-Former professional football players Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin are expected to start on WWE television in the near future. Rawley and Corbin are the only two stars with no prior wrestling experience in the current crop of athletes taken from scratch and placed into the NXT system that are said to be ready for WWE television exposure.

Former TNA Star Wins Ohio Valley TV Title

Elijah Burke, formerly “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero in TNA, appeared at Wednesday night’s Ohio Valley Wrestling television tapings. He defeated Flash Flanagan to win the OVW TV title.

Burke, who was billed as “Pope Eljah Burke,” left TNA earlier this year when his contract expired back in January.

While there is no confirmation that he’ll be returning to TNA, OVW is the company’s official developmental territory.

-As noted, the E! cable channel picked up additional episodes of the WWE Total Divas reality show. Those episodes will begin airing as part of the extended season one on November 17th. It should be noted that the new episodes beginning on 11/17 will air one hour earlier, at 9:00pm ET, instead of the current 10:00pm ET timeslot.

-The following are some recent WWE attendance figures:

–September 6th in Montreal drew 6,000 fans for $300,000
–September 7th in East Rutherford, NJ drew 7,700 fans for $360,000
–September 7th in Windsor drew 3,300 fans for $130,000
–September 8th in Brooklyn drew 7,000 fans for $380,000
–September 8th in Hamilton drew 3,600 fans for $130,000

-WWE will be taping the next four episodes of NXT on Thursday night at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The tapings will feature main-roster WWE Superstars Rob Van Dam and Fandango.

-Apparently WWE Superstars were informed about Jim Ross’ “retirement” on Wednesday via text messages sent to them by company officials.

-The new WWE produced Triple H DVD set, “Triple H – Thy Kingdom Come” will be released on September 24th. The DVD set will feature a documentary on HHH’s career as well as some of his most high-profile matches.

Time flies when one is enjoying one ‘s dream job. Heck, it only took me 19 years ti make it to the NFL of sports entertainment. Overnight sensation, right?

So, at the age if 61 it’s time to close this chapter of my life and begin exploring new, adventures while my health is great.

I wouldn’t have changed a thing in WWE except I wish that I’d been able to avoid some health issues along the way. That was the hand that I was dealt and I simply refused to fold it.

As announced earlier, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is retiring after 20 years with the company.

Aside from Jim Ross wanting to focus on “other business ventures” (most notably his JR’s Barbecue company), the Wrestling Observer reports that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon had a role in his departure.

According to Observer report, Ross and McMahon met earlier todayto discuss Ross’s future with the company, which led to the decision for Ross to retire.

It’s being said that Ric Flair’s unruly behavior at the WWE 2K14 panel during SummerSlam weekend was a contributing factor in his departure. WWE management felt that Ross, who hosted the event, should have cut off Ric Flair when he went off-script and made several controversial remarks in front of WWE & 2K Sports executives.

WWE has announced that WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is retiring after 20 years with the company. The following statement was published on WWE.com on Wednesday afternoon:

“WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross announced that he is retiring from WWE today, after 20 years of service, to focus on his personal business endeavors.

Jim has had a long and storied career at WWE, both on the corporate staff as well as his television persona, calling some of the most memorable matches in WWE history as the voice of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown for more than two decades. He made his debut with WWE at WrestleMania IX in 1993 and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 by his long-time friend “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Jim has made many contributions to WWE and the sports-entertainment industry, and we thank him for his many years of service and wish him well.”

-Speaking of Hogan, the TNA star spoke with St. Louis Live, and when asked what was unique about his company’s current product, Hogan replied by saying:

“The majority of our time we stay consistent with storylines. I think we are really, really consistent with delivering the action and keeping the business in the ring as much as possible. There are certain times where you can watch a quarter hour and minute-by-minute and see where the girls are on there and doing certain things in the background, having a certain conversation. That works. We try not to go against the grain. But the majority of the time the people want the action in the ring and we try to be really consistent with that, and that’s what we are trying to do.”
