Former ECW Star Pleads For Tammy Sytch To Receive Help; Details On Her Fourth Arrest

1

ECW alumnus Axl Rotten is pleading for Tammy Sytch (a/k/a Sunny) to receive help after she was arrested again Tuesday in Branford, Connecticut, on charges of third degree burglary and three counts of violating a protective order.

“Will someone PLEASE step in and help this woman,” Rotten wrote on Facebook. “I love her so much, I consider her a great friend. PLEASE Tammy get help. REAL HELP. Walk away from wrestling and get your life in order. Please do it for you!”

It was her second arrest in two days and fifth in the past month. She is currently being held without bail and is expected to be arraigned in New Haven court Wednesday morning.

Meanwhile, Sytch’s latest arrest is the lead story on WTNH.com, the ABC-affiliated television station in New Haven, Connecticut. The news outlet has released details on the nature of her arrest on Monday, which resulted in the WWE Hall of Famer being charged with violating a protective order, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.

Her former boyfriend, independent wrestler Damien Darling, discovered Sytch lying on his sofa drunk and passed out, and called police. Law enforcement found a bottle of vodka, and his bathroom door damaged. Darling told police she locked herself in the bathroom as she was yelling and kicking. She then broke down the door.

Upon her arrest, police found Sytch hiding under a blanket on the bedroom floor, and slurring her words.

In September, Sytch was arrested on three consecutive days due to domestic violence charges. As she was being arraigned, WTNH.com discovered that Sytch has convictions in New Jersey from 2005, including possession of a hypodermic needle.

CM Punk and WWE Address ‘Crowd Incident’ At Raw

21

Following an incident involving CM Punk and fans at Monday night’s Raw event in Sacramento, California, WWE issued an official statement through its official website expressing regret that proper security measures were not set. The WWE Champion also gave his side of the story.

WWE’s official statement reads: “During Monday night’s Raw televised event, WWE Superstar CM Punk exited the ring and into the stands as part of the show. Unfortunately, WWE security was not in the appropriate place at the time. Given CM Punk’s persona as a ‘bad guy,’ fans were naturally heckling him, but unfortunately a few fans began shoving him, and one struck him in the kidney and on the back. WWE regrets that proper security measures were not in place, and CM Punk apologizes for reacting in the heat of the moment. Other than this isolated incident, WWE always provides proper security to ensure the safety of our fans and our performers.”

“I think the whole situation sucks,” Punk told WWE.com. “It’s an unfortunate and isolated incident. I was up in the stands, surrounded.”

“Somebody said, ‘let’s push him down the stairs,’” Punk explained. “I got hit in the ribs three times. I was getting shoved and I was getting punched…Then I started getting tagged in the back of the head. Unfortunately, I lashed out in the heat of the moment and I apologize. I’m really just glad nobody was hurt.”

Former WWE Diva Tammy “Sunny” Sytch Arrested Again

20

Former WWE performer Tammy Sytch, more famously known as Sunny, was arrested again Tuesday in Branford, Connecticut, TMZ.com reports. It is her second arrest in two days and her fifth in the past month.

Sytch, 39, was found intoxicated and sleeping at her prior residence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, which violates protective orders issued for previous domestic violence charges. She was charged with violating a protective order, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief.

Hours after posting $25,000 bail, she was taken into custody and charged with third degree burglary and three counts of violating a protective order.

The WWE Hall of Famer is currently being held without bail and is expected to be arraigned in New Haven court Wednesday morning.

In September, Sytch was arrested on three consecutive days due to domestic violence charges.

Steve Austin Responds To CM Punk Insulting Him On Raw

39

WWE Champion CM Punk continued to play up his ongoing feud with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin on Raw Monday by once again slamming the legendary wrestler. The Straight Edge Superstar proclaimed that unlike Austin, he didn’t get to the top by doing things the easy way and beating up an old man in Vince McMahon. The WWE Hall of Famer issued a one-minute video stating that he’s not going to let Punk’s comments slide and that he will respond in greater detail soon.

“Hey, it’s Stone Cold Steve Austin, I’m coming to you from Mexico where I’m out here working on Redneck Island and I heard through word on the street that CM Punk has been running down Stone Cold Steve Austin on Monday Night Raw for the past two weeks. I heard that you’ve been running me down. I didn’t see the show, so I haven’t heard or seen the promos. But I’ll get on YouTube, I’ll watch ’em, I’ll respond accordingly on my website, BrokenSkullRanch.com. Or hell, if anybody up there in that organization, including you, got any guts or class you’ll send me the damn promos so I can respond accordingly. But you ain’t going to talk trash about me and I’m just going to let it slide,” said Austin.

“You call yourself the best in the world, you’re a damn joke and I ain’t going to get carried away here because I haven’t seen the promos, I just know that the words you had to say weren’t flattering. This is Stone Cold Steve Austin. You are looking, you are listening, to the best in the world and that’s all I got to say about that.”

Paul Heyman Talks Punk vs. Lesnar, WWE Ripping Off ECW & More

13

Paul Heyman was recently itnerviewed by ESPN.com to promote the new WWE ’13 video game. Here are a few highlights of what Heyman said about:

Do you think Brock’s involvement in the video game actually helped smooth out the relationship between him and WWE, actually enabling him to come back this year?

You know, it’s very funny, but I don’t think there’s any such thing as a burned bridge in business, especially when it comes to Vince McMahon. Vince McMahon can end up in a federal lawsuit with you where there is mudslinging back and forth that makes the front page of The Wall Street Journal, and if tomorrow he figures out a way where the company can benefit from your involvement, you will be at a negotiating table with him at lunch. He takes nothing personally, unless he is in the middle of the fight with you. But the moment that fight becomes counterproductive to his business, and that he can make more money with you than against you, then he wants you in the fold. Pure business. And if there’s anything that’s a perfect example of that, it’s the fact that Brock and I are both back in WWE right now.

Even though you’re currently representing both CM Punk and Brock Lesnar on the show, do you see a day down the road where the two of them will have a match?

I don’t know. I don’t know the dynamic of that match because they are two such different styles of professional wrestling. Brock is an explosive MMA-style fighter who brings with him the element of UFC into the ring with him now. And while Punk has trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, he is more the equivalent of the modern 60-minute man. Punk is the updated version of what Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat and Jack Brisco and Terry Funk and the NWA champions of old used to bring to the table in that you can put anybody in the ring with CM Punk at any time and you can say, “Main event for me tonight,” and he will turn to you and tell you that the people are going to go home happy because he’s going to give them their money’s worth. So there’s a very big and different dynamic between Brock Lesnar and CM Punk, almost like we’re talking about two different genres within the same category of professional wrestling/sports entertainment.

Going even further back and into your old ECW days, is there anybody who surprised you by how big they blew up when they left for a bigger promotion, or on the flip side, somebody who you thought might be a star but never made it in WCW or WWE?

No, because I pretty much had a handle on how we were protecting some of our guys, and on the ones we were pushing, it was obvious who was going to be a star. When we did the Mick Foley interviews that ended up being his launching pad to becoming the WWE champion, you could just tell for years that Mick had that magic inside him, and the same for Steve Austin. And for the guys who ended up going to WCW or WWE and didn’t quite make it, I knew because these were characters who were created in our shop, so to speak, and when you take them out of that element and you don’t have Dr. Frankenstein protecting the monster, the villagers are going to burn them at the stake.

So when you think back, how much of WWE’s Attitude Era is owed to what you were already doing in ECW?

Everything! It’s funny, because when you interview writers from that era, they will blatantly tell you that they’d watch ECW television, get ideas, sit on those ideas for a couple of months, then pitch them to Vince and say “Hey, I got this great idea for The Undertaker and The Big Show where they go through a ring,” failing to mention that they saw Taz and Bam Bam Bigelow do it in Asbury Park.

Vince McMahon became a billionaire based on Attitude, and Attitude was spawned by the ECW experience. If I could give you one sound bite, one headline, it’s this: Vince McMahon might not proclaim himself to be a Paul Heyman guy, but he sure should.

JR Blog: CM Punk vs. Vince McMahon, Sheamus vs. Barrett, Tag Team Division

4

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has posted a new blog entry, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what Ross said about:

CM Punk vs. Vince McMahon: “Closing moments of Raw felt like some of the great moments during the Attitude Era. Table destroyed, monitors out, bodies hitting the floor, stiff shots, and a crazed crowd. Great nite at the office .. Mr McMahon was amazing especially at his age and lack of recent ring time. I’m not kissing butt but just stating a fact. @cmpunk is special. Controversial? Yes…but damn special.”

Sheamus vs. Wade Barrett: “Sheamus and Wade a arrest literally beat the hell out of each other much like I’ll see in Dallas Saturday when OU battles Texas .. Second week in a row that Wold Champ Sheamus rose to the occasion, last week it was against Damien Sandow .. Barrett has returned from injury a different man as it relates to aggression & physicality. That mindset will get one places.”

WWE Tag Team Division Picking Up: “WWE tag team biz is becoming viably relevant. Opportunity awaits several duos. Will they realize such and seize the fleeting moment?”

WWE Labels Tensai An “Overhyped Disappointment”, Melina Suffers Injury, Eve Torres Featured, Mick Foley In NJ

24

– After bursting onto the WWE scene with a monster push in April, the sports-entertainment organization is now publicly tagging Tensai as an “overhyped disappointment.” The veteran wrestler is being labeled as such on his updated WWE.com bio in regards to his multiple losses to Tyson Kidd after going toe-to-toe with John Cena and CM Punk.

WWE states, “Over the following months, Tensai quickly went from intimidating behemoth to overhyped disappointment. Despite impressive outings against John Cena and CM Punk, several frustrating losses to underdog Tyson Kidd led to Tensai assaulting his own associate Sakamoto on the July 30, 2012 edition of Raw. Is this beginning of a new, more focused Tensai? One can only assume that disaster will follow for his opponents until this star from multiple continents fulfills his destiny.”

Update On The Big Changes To WWE’s Creative Team

21

As we reported on Monday night just before RAW went on the air, Vince McMahon held a meeting backstage at RAW and removed Brian Gewirtz as the head writer of the show (“Senior Vice President of Creative Writing”). He had held the role for more than a decade.

The new Senior VP of Creative Writing will be Eric Pankowski, who was hired back in February and has been working closely with Stephanie McMahon in recent months.

RAW’s head writer is now David Kapoor, formerly known as Ranjin Singh on WWE television.

SmackDown’s head writer is Ed Koskey. Koskey will be taken off the road to work more from WWE headquarters in Stamford. There has been some negative feedback about Koskey being taken off the road, because he worked very closely with WWE talent and was viewed as “very approachable” for wrestlers looking to share their ideas.
